Massive Slipknot fan speaking here, I traveled far and long to see them perform live many years ago several times, and while you get caught up in the atmosphere when you're there and on DVD can appreciate the visual element, without those factors Slipknot's shortcomings are disappointingly apparent.
9.0 has the worst production of anything I've ever heard, and that includes things that were produced badly on purpose. While the band shines on their studio outings, it must be kept in mind that these albums are often many years apart. In the live situation, that majesty just can't be recaptured night after night. If anything, its in the live situation that Slipknot's shortcomings are showcased. Their strengths are in committing to ... Read More:

Not one of Megadeth's best albums, neither is it all that bad, in fact it's pretty good. The album is best described as frantic and chaotic, perhaps a little cynical and a tad juvenile in tone compared to other Megadeth albums.
This album shines in songs such as "In My Darkest Hour", which was inspired by the death of Cliff Burton (Metallica), it is a dynamic song with plenty of tempo and mood changes.
Another good track is "Mary Jane", written about a girl of the same name who suffered from a mental illness and was burned at the stake during the infamous Salem witch trials.
The album also features a good cover of Sex Pistols' song "Anarchy In The UK", albeit with some incorrect lyrics but despite this, for me as a metalhead, ... Read More:

A superb album that hasn't left the cd-player yet - after two weeks that is praise indeed. Was initially sceptical of the music and still not convinced that tracks 2 and 3 aren't the same track! If you like Evanescence, After Forever or Within Temptation then this is for you. Buy it and enjoy!

I was atttracted to this album after listening to "Here I Go Again" and bought this album a few weeks later. Initially I just listened to that one song but I gave the other songs a go and I realized why Whitesnake are one of the more popular hard rock bands from the 1980s. "Is This Love?", "Straight For The Heart" and "Don't Turn Away" are all excellent tracks. David Coverdale has a powerful voice that puts many of today's Indie bands to shame and John Sykes is great guitarist and every solo is pleasurable to listen to. "Here I Go Again" is still my favourite track however and Adrian Vandenberg's guest solo on that track is one of the best I've heard. Vandenberg would later appear as a proper member of Whitesnake later on.
Over all, a top notch album.

This album is really bad. I've tried to like it. I've had it for years and every so often I go back and listen to it. Even the Rolling Stones cover is awful. Maggie's Farm is probably the only song on here that I like, and by like I mean it'd get 3 stars. But the rest of the album is just unimaginitive and technically mediocre. I woulnd't give it a 1 star, that'd be unfair. I do like quite a lot of the RATM music that I hear, but this album was clearly in the sale section all those years ago for a very good reason. They must have run out of good ideas earlier on in their career, which is a shame. If I wanted to listen to something similar I'd just go with Faith No More and never look back.

In my review i cannon't say anything that the other reviewers haven't already said, ''Keep the Faith'' is a truely magnificent album and includes one of my all time favorite songs that Bon Jovi has ever recorded, "Bed Of Roses" --- a great track and one that i never do tire of. This album is one that you will play again and again, it rocks as to many other Bon Jovi albums such ad "New Jervesy" an "Slippery When Wet" 10/10 --- My second favorite Bon Jovi album, 2nd only to "SWWW".
If you don't own this album, you're missing out on a masterpiece and an essential listening album.

This is one of the most savage, intense thrash/death metal albums ever recorded. Like a hateful, twisted version of 'Reign in Blood'-era Slayer, this record is also notable for having been a big influence on early Sepultura records like 'Schizophrenia' and 'Beneath the Remains'. The vocals are vicious, feral barks of raw power, the guitars buzz and grate like the fires of hell and the drums are frenetic and thunderous. The production isn't great, but in a funny sort of way this enhances the music, as it makes it more raw and aggressive sounding. Buy this now if you are a fan of Slayer, old-style Sepultura or Morbid Angel, and get headbanging to some vintage ferocious German thrash!!

'Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son' is the first Iron Maiden album I ever bought (quickly followed by everything before or since!) and I have to say it is one I still love after all these years. From the racing album opener 'Moonchild' to storming tracks such as 'Evil That Men Do', 'Clairvoyant' and 'Infinite Dreams' and more besides, this album produces one amazing song after another. In fact I'd go so far to say that this is one of those rare albums where every track is worthy of inclusion and adds to the overall feel of the album. This was initially snubbed by some Maiden fans for it's use of keyboards, but is often recognised as the classic it always was now hindsight can be applied. A great first port of call for new maiden fans, but be warned, like me, you will want to get their ... Read More:

Along with Ride the Lightning this is my favorite thrash album. Maybe even a bit more so as I really dig Chris Poland's guitar style and this, in part, makes this one of the most interesting thrash albums to revisit after all the years. People tend to criticize some Dave Mustaine songs over the lyrical contents, but who cares they are a means to an end and just provide a lyrical context for the great riff (rhythm guitar) and soloing on Peace Sells.

Been waiting on a rockin' album for ages from the Red Rocker after his country/party/beach cd "Livin'it Up" from the other year ,, nice to see Sam is mixin' it up with fellow rockers like Neil Schon, Chad Smith, Billy Duffy, Billy Gibbons as well as Mikey Anthony & Sam's very underrated own band The Wabo's !!! Starts off with World Music style title track co written with Iraqi, Steven Lost, very today lyrics & on a par with old Van Hagar' Right Here Right Now,,, great album opener,, then into a couple of songs meant to be recorded by Planet Us, a colabaration with Schon, that never really got off the ground, atmospheric lyrics & great guitar. Top Stuff, which brings us onto old style Hagar with "Loud" written Sammy style by American songster,John Eddie,, rousing anthem of youth gone wild!! ... Read More:
