Possibly the best offering from NOW so far. Da Feelin is the most incredible funky track they've ever done followed by the amazing reggae tune 195lbs. The whole album is quality and anyone who is fortunate enough to purchase it surely cannot be disappointed! Enjoy.

This album has rightly been lauded by just about everyone. It's an incredibly clever and interesting piece of work. The tracks are varied in their feel and attitude, from "thuggish" to thoughtful and reflective. If anything the problem is that West is trying too hard to be all things to all people. He's a thoughtful, reflective soul who believes in Jesus and disapproves of drug use (in principle) but who is also happy to hand out beat-downs, steal and deal drugs (or to do whatever he has to "to get by"). Most rappers are guilty of trying to take the moral high ground while also maintaining their street cred by acting like delinquents, but with many rappers (e.g. Tupac) this seems to be a genuine contradiction (or perhaps a paradox if you ... There have been exactly 53 million hip-hop albums made, now here's another one from the man who should've made another innovative grime album. It's like Ferrari stopping production because there's more money in making metal dustbins. No, wait I could live with that. If you think this album is his best check out a Big Brothers album or Labotomy.com.

Ordered this directly from the distributor (hence why I have it before the UK release date), and it truly is a brilliant set to have. The artwork is top-notch (no surprise, coming from artist Jhonen Vasquez), it includes all of the art he did for the album (including the cover of the deluxe version) in high resolution quality and is worth buying just for this reason alone.

The album itself is pretty good, though no-where near as good as YRTA, FGWSSS or Tight, but passable, despite a few throwaway tracks. The overall arrangement seems a lot better as well, with a reworked track listing spread across two Vinyl disks.

The main complaint I have is how, unfortunately the vinyl is treated as a second-hand product by the producers of ... Read More:

This is an album for the streets. If you loved London Town because it was musically a great album with the different genres and artists he had, you will not think this is a suitable follow up. If you loved Home Sweet Home and thought K-A left grime, this is an album for you. Overall K-A has alot of energy and sounds hungry. With 'the underground king' Ghetto back on the album, along with the long anticipated song with 'the Godfather of Grime' Wiley and the 'King of Grime' Skepta, this will not disappoint any grime fans. But i will add, with the exceptions of 'Hunting We Will Go', and the tracks produced by Wiley and Skepta, the beats are not the grimiest you'll ever hear. 'Paper' and even 'Hustler' sounds very American influenced, with the latter sounding similar to T.I's ... Read More:

`Kingdom of Comfort' has been hailed as a return to form with renewed purpose for delirious? Sadly, despite having its moments, for most of this album delirious? seem to be a band whose day has gone, trying desperately to regain some momentum. Any hope of connecting again with the cultural mainstream in which `King of Fools' and `Mezzamorphis' once so proudly swam seems to have been abandoned with an album aimed squarely at the Christian sub-culture. Many of the songs plod where delirious? once soared and the lyrics confuse where once they inspired. Why is God smiling when our hearts are broken? Does the Spirit really teach us to distance ourselves from the world when we live our dreams and sing a new song?

`Give it what you've got' comes on like a glammed up ... Read More:

I first got into electronic music a while ago, and frankly couldnt have asked for a better induction. I was recomended this by a friend when I said I liked the electronic stuff on Kid A and he told me that most of it was influenced by this man.
He was right, Shadow is a genius. His skill with a drum machine is matched only by his skill with a sampler and his talent for mixing, perfectly capturing an ever shifting mood with changes of tempo, time signature, key, instruments and genre. Its all captured here, like a beautifully preserved insect in a peice of amber. Jazz, soul, blues, and that ever present loaded-gun backbeat, tying every interesting sample and gorgeous melody together into an amazingly cohesive journey of beats.
It is, like the best albums, prismic and ... Read More:

To me, this was one of the best albums of 2003 (Speakerboxx/The Love Below won it for me). If you want to listen to hip-hop that steps outside of the box, this is definitely one you will like. While some tracks are better than others, there aren't really any that you will skip over straight away. Many albums have that (Kanye Graduation = Drunk and Hot Girls = Trash) so you've got to appreciate that Jay-Z put some thought into this instead of just filling the gap with generic tracks. Also this album has a HELL of a lot of highlights, including 'Public Service Announcement' (Which was meant to be an INTERLUDE!!!), and of course the well known 'Dirt Off Your Shoulders'. Other key tracks include 'Encore' (do you want more?), '99 Problems' (but a b**** ain't one) and the lesser known 'Threat'. ... Read More:
