One of the best from the Cafe. excellent selection of tunes. From the haunting Mumbai Theme tune to the superb Angels Landing. Pour me another Nestea and let me watch the sunset.
I first bought this album in 2003 when I was 13 when I was just getting into music. What a massive mistake! First of all I didn't realise how terribly this guy swears. His lyrics are just appalling. I can't understand why anyone would feel the need to swear as much as he does. As soon as I heard this album the first time I never listened to it over properly ever again. I actually bought this album mainly for Lose yourself which I really liked back then because of the energy, but his record company are such a bunch of cheapskates that they made the fans buy two albums. Lose yourself was actually put on the movie soundtrack album instead of on this album and that is so pathetic.
Absolutely fab. In my opinion best tracks are Step up and Bout it but there ain't a bad track on this album! Petey Pablo's tune is amazing too. You have to watch the movie then check this soundtrack out! Well worth the money. When you listen to this album it will seriously make you get up,take notice and dance!!! LOVE IT! x

I still say that this is Eminem's masterpiece, his darkest album, and the soundtrack of his darkest hour. It also ploughs the sinister and disturbing recesses of Marshall Mathers' mind, spilling them all out with a lack of reservation which is stunning.
As is so often the case, Dr. Dre's production is impeccable, and what he can do with electronic sound is akin to what some artists can do with paint. Instantly recognisable 'My Name Is' often gets a panning by the artist himself, but it's his signature tune with good reason, being an expert masterclass in uncompromising lyrics, an assault of bad taste and shocking statements, one after the other: BANG, BANG, BANG!
Apart from "Frontin'", Pharrell's solo output has been confusingly bad, and he has far more success with his funk/rock group N*E*R*D. The band's latest offering 'Seeing Sounds' successfully combines the mellow chords of 'In Search Of' and the prominent guitar of 'Fly Or Die' in a musically diverse album. Drum n Bass influences "Everybody Nose", "Anti Matter" and "Spaz", but the latter two tracks sound somewhat cluttered with ideas. The funk and flow of "Yeah You" is better, while the Beatle-esque "Sooner or Later" is a brilliant number before it breaks into a 2 minute guitar solo. Although Pharrell cites Steely Dan as one of his main influences, this guitar solo cannot match that of Walter Becker.
Tracks such as "You Know What" and "Laser Gun" are stronger and hark back ... Read More:

I put this CD on at work recently, and was embarrassed when I found myself struggling to choke back tears. When you bear in mind that this is a collection of songs by someone who has lost someone close to them, and is trying to tell herself that they have just gone on a long fishing trip, it is so poignant and moving. Gets me every time. Such a lovely lady too. Saw her at a very intimate gig a few years ago, she was incredibly cute and funny.

Dr Dre is the best producer and one of the best rappers in the game. his productions are brilliant and his rhymes are top quality, the Chronic shows that. With Nuttin but a g thang he has produced one of the best rap songs ever, and a song that changed the game. He has introduced one of the most famous styles of hip hop with The Chronic, and that is G Funk. Also Deeeez Nuts is hilarious!
I used to think this was over rated, i have come to realize that it certainly isn't! Great beats and great lyrics, as well as great guests! One of the best hip hop albums ever and the best old school album, essential
