A work of total genius, if you handpicked all the best bits from the beta band and lonepigeon records and played them through a black hole backwards then "Luna" is what it would sound like. Dont think i'll ever get bored of hearing this.

why is stand by me not on it? and many others are missing from the be here now album, there biggest and best selling album along with morning glory! and not only that but they include tracks instead from there b-side album! oasis were a great band in the 90s but since be here now in 1997 they have either been very average or very crap, i would advise buying there first three albums for the real greatest hits of oasis, because now they are just overated!

This is by-far my favourite stereophonics album:
Superman: This is my all time favourite, it kick starts the album with a really catchy tune, the words though such as "Superman on an aeroplane sitting next to louis lane" is not anything i can relate to lol, but i just love Kelly's vocals it shows the strength his voice can go. Doorman: Now this song i wasnt struck on when i first got the album, i thought it was a little too heavy with the rock n roll, but after playing the album over and over it has grown on me - i love the chorus where the guitar breaks down and Kelly's voice takes over, this song has got attitude! 'The Warning' was, if not quite a stunner, a bit of a hottie. This quite simply is not.
Why include three soul ballads if none of them is a patch on 'Look After Me' from the last release? These deathly dull tracks in particular bring the album crashing down. Other songs come across as in jokes and failed experiments - I'm looking at you 'Wrestlers' and 'Bendable Posable'. The first three songs do show signs of life, 'Ready for the Floor' is a great single (partly due to the fantastic video) and there are other flashes of near brilliance in the intro to 'One Pure Thought' and the genuinely amusing spoken word section of 'Bendable Posable' - but at this stage of the game more is expected. Sia has a wonderful mesmeric quality to her voice. I, like most people, bought this CD off the back of her vocal performances for Zero 7. Although Colour the Small One is a decent enough collection of music, I have to say that I was disappointed with the vocal performance on this CD. It goes to show you that even the best performers need good music and top quality production a la Zero 7. If you are a fan of Sia's vocal talents from Zero 7, get Lady Croissiant instead. Her live performances are more confident and powerful. I hope she can bring this confidence into her next studio album.

Lovely 2 C U. 10/10 Ride a White Horse. 10/10 You Never Know. 9/10 Let It Take You. 7/10 Fly Me Away. 10/10 Slide In. 9.5/10 Koko. 8/10 Satin Chic. 9.5/10 Time Out From the World. 9/10 Number 1. 9/10 This album at 11 tracks long, 43 minutes, is extremely short, could've been longer but the musical quality of this album is astonishing, perfectly flawless dance music. Though beware of "Time Out From the World" and "Let It Take You" because they are nothing like the rest of the album, "Time Out From the World" is the better of the 2. It's hard to really put the experience of listening to this album into words. It is just a relentlessly gorgeous soundscape, even by Sigur Ros' own high standards.
Of all their albums, this is the most seamless. As many listeners have commented, the songs seem to blend into each other, as if they are different movements of one work, and the album as a whole simply encapsulates me. That is not to say that the mood is a constant throughout. Rather, the melancholy of Track 1 gives way to the gentle and beautiful optimism of Track 3, whilst the mood of Track 4 drifts between the two, in a wonderfully passive, relaxed way. I have been a Will Oldham (in his many forms) for years, so was looking forward to hearing this new live album. On first hearing I was very surprised...I found my foot tapping and then my leg, that's right...I was almost dancing to a Bonnie Prince Billy album! `What on earth is he saying?!' I here you cry. Please bear with me. This album breaths new life in to some of the classic songs and some sound so different there are hardly recognizable. Not that that's a bad thing...They still manage to keep the sparseness and the raw beauty of the originals, but seem to be sang with hope. Harem Scarem provide the music and there talent really shines though.

What can you say about "Best of ..." albums that simply list the hits? Well, as "Best of" album's go, this is one of the best! Nine Police hits and another nine of Sting's as a soloist, all written by the main man himself.
One of the benefits of this format is that it allows you to revisit songs away from the context of the album in which they originally appeared. And so I was able to appreciate just how brilliant "Fields of Gold", "Brand New Day", "Desert Rose" and "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" really are: they are truly five-star songs. But the downside is that you also realise just how annoying is "Can't Stand Losing You". But that's the only duff track in what is an excellent selection of songs. >>More Details |

After hearing Razorlights 2nd record and enjoying it at the time. I decided to buy this debut offering, and after hearing this record i decided to listen to razorlight again and i found out that it actually isn't that good, Johnny Borrell's lyrics are heavily influenced by Pete Doherty and Carl Barat formely of The Libertines. Unlike 2006's Razorlight which is trying to be a album with a U2 epic scope, but this album is trying and succeds to be a album full of Libertines influnced tunes about London nights and romance. The first Track Leave Me Alone isn't the greatest opening to an album, although it is catchy enough to be a decent opening to the album.
