The problem with the Shea Stadium gig was that they were supporting a stadium rock band (The Who) and, thus, concentrated on some of their more audience-friendly tracks.
The best live Clash track I have ever heard is Complete Control. Other great lives songs include White Man In Hammersmith Palais, London's Burning and Capital Radio. None of which feature here.
Although there are some great Clash songs on here, and some are better than on the second half of From Here To Eternity, this does not represent the best of the Clash live.
To get a true picture of what the Clash were like live, you'd probably need the first half of From Here To Eternity, mixed with a random selection of tracks from this CD.

As someone who had managed to avoid Zero Seven and Sia until now, this is a revelation. Intrigued by a stunning performance on Jools Holland's "Later", I decided to gamble on the album. A worthwhile gamble? Oh,yes! What we have here is a real singer, with passion and power combined with quirky rhythms and lovely melodies, sometimes jaunty, sometimes offbeat, but often heartbreaking. Reference points? Kate Bush for sure- but she's no imitation. her yearning, emotional vocals sometimes bring the Pretenders to mind- but then, when you listen to her version of "I go to Sleep",included here, all you hear is Sia.
Unique and engaging, full of that oddness which makes Tori Amos and Bjork so appealing, yet more grounded than either of those. ... Read More:

I first heard about Paramore eariler on this year, my friend told me to listen to Until Tomorrow and I fell in love with the band. Hayley is an awesome singer and Riot! is now one of my favourite albums. CrushCrushCrush and That's What You Get have to be two of the best songs on the album and I think everyone should get it lol....god I ramble....

The most uplifting album I've heard for a while. This album is packed with boisterous, singalong classics that fulfill the promise of Costello Music. This is a better album. The Fratellis have obviously gained in confidence and there is evidence of abundant songwriting and technical skill here. On first listen, I was struck by musical reminders of Artic Monkeys (My Friend John), Suede(Lupe Brown), Waterboys and Kasabian (Tell Me a Lie), for example. This was a departure from Costello Music which had a consistent Slade feel. The variety of styles is welcome and promises even better for the future because it suggests a good understanding of what it takes to write great songs.

To say Nick Cave isn't the force he once was, is like saying Vlad the Impaler had minor anger management issues. Glories LONG gone, he's resorting to loose balladeering and conventional rock in a vain and desperate attempt to disguise the fact he's got nothing new to say and should've given up on this music thing a long time ago.
A new Nick Cave album is cause for despair, where once it was cause for celebration. Ok, you can't go on re-living past triumphs (ask Morrissey) but the guy must have SOME of that early threat and purpose kicking around somewhere. Where's the gusto and urgency that drove classics like 'Nick the Stripper' or 'Mr Clarinet' ?
He's become a rock dullard, a pale imitation, a caricature of all he once meant.
He's got a hopeless band together. ... Read More:

When Q magazine asked Noel gallager what band he was looking out for at T in the park years ago he said, "kings of leon, They are my new favourite band". I imediately bought the album when it came out (alongside the darkness's permission to land....cough) He wasn't wrong. Youth and young manhood was blindingly brilliant.
Lyiricaly the songs are brilliantly smutty yet you really have to be looking for the sexual reference. Thats really what the album is about. Being young and desperate to have it off with ladies.
But musicaly "Molly's chamber, wasted time and Holy roller novacaine" are simpy outstanding! There is not a bad song on this album I know people say that a lot but i can't stress this enough its faultless. The muffled overexited rambings of caleb singing ... Read More:

I have loved You Me At Six since this time last year and I couldn't wait to this album was released.
This album is a masterpiece! I love it!
Some people have been complaining because the tracks sound different 'cause of the studio edit but I think it sounds better!
My favourite song on the album is 'You've Made Your Bed' which was lyrically improved as well as studio edited.
'Save It For The Bedroom', 'Gossip' and 'Jealous Minds Think Alike' are all really catchy, jumpy tunes to dance to. They are equally my second favourite!
My third favourite track is definitely 'The Rumour'. I've been to a gig of theirs and this song live is awesome!
I'd recommend this album to anyone who's a fan of British music!

Just how many more albums can Radiohead make of such quality? Other bands become very samey, or try to change and fail. Somehow Radiohead manage to change whilst staying the same and keep producing top quality albums. This album just gets better and better with each listen, and in my view a Radiohead classic already.

Broken Boy Soldier was good but this is in a different league. It progresses beautifully from the debut. Live , the songs on this are quite wondrous and if you ever see them live the idea that it's just Jack White with a backing band is blown out of the water. One of the best bands around.
And if there weren't enough reasons to adore JW , I doubt very much if I'd have discovered Brendan Benson, The Greenhornes and Blanche had it not been for The Raconteurs .

i cant believe i hear this album now! having recently bought the brilliant Leaders Of The Free World I wanted to discover Elbow. Then I listened to Cast Of Thousands next which i included in my top 10 album list. but then I listened to this album and I was totally knocked off my feet! I just love it. this is music! reading other reviews I was deeply dissapointed they were compared to other bands. some of the reviews which compare elbow to say coldplay would have put off buying this record. If u like music then get all the albums by Elbow. Another band I thought I should recommend is I Am Kloot.
