My daughter bought me this for my birthday, cant stop playing it full volumn in the car. Cry everytime it gets to "slipping thru my fingers" I can really relate to this song. A must for every Abba fan and even some who aren't. All the cast did a fantastic job with all the songs, some better than others.

other people have mentioned strangely missing 'greatest hits' tracks. but what about "Since I told you it's over" - heart-wrenching uber-pop somehow ended on the cutting room floor. Odd to say the least.

Ok, I approached this album tentatively. Appetite is probably my favourite album of all time but this is not the Guns of old, and should not be looked as such. This is Axl's own project, and he has showed that he can do it on his own. The sound is different but it's still rock, ok it's grand, complex, over the top rock but the feel is of the kind of music that made GnR famous and has not been heard, with the exceptions of a few bands, since the early 90's. So why do I like this album, well: Axl sounds great, there's hard rock riffage and varied solos (well there are like 5 guitarists on each track). I've been an Enya fan for twenty years and the thing that you can never mistake is the unique "Enya" sound and the wonderful calming effect it can give the listener. Her music has got me through some very stressful times in my life.
Although a winter and Christmas themed album I truly feel this can be played at any time of year and would still sound great. Having said that, this album really does capture the feeling of frost and snow-covered fir trees etc. The tracks are varied with a nice selection of soft slow tracks along with the more up tempo ones. Of the latter ones, I challenge anyone not to have "Trains and Winter Rains" going around in their head for days! For me, one of the most beautiful tracks has to be "Dreams Are More Precious". I ... I have both of Keane's previous albums and they've always been some of my favourite albums to chill out to. Unfortunately, this is practically impossible to do with the new album.
One one hand, the style is quite different to previous Keane albums with the first track (Spiralling) particularly emphasising this thanks to its 80s style. This makes it much more up-beat than previous Keane albums. Whether you like this change or not is up to you. However, the thing about this album which ruins it the most is the abysmal mastering. The album has been amplified, compressed and clipped to within an inch of its life. As a result, it's physically draining and fatiguing to listen to. I wonder how many Leona Lewis fans will find this in their xmas stocking brought by relatives who are unaware it is a re-release? The only people gaining with the release of this album are the record company executives. Bet their xmas stockings will be full this year. I hoped that Leona Lewis would have had more integrity. Shame.
