Its a great album really shows how great they can sing. Differant but amazing, Amy winehouse,Duffy got hyped up for thier albums y haven't the babes? I reccomend No Can Do., Beware, You on a good day. Hell i reccomend the whole album maybe excpt girls.

it wasn't until Disturbia and Take A Bow that i became a fan of this smashing R n B star....and i saw this album for a great pice and i got it.
Umbrella was an awesome lead single but it didn't persuade me to buy the album the first time round. but now this release was out...i had to get it....and my gosh is it an amazing album. it's the equivalent of Michael Jacksons' THRILLER album...amazing stuff. Madonna did it with Like A Prayer....now Rihanna the r n b equivalent has done it...and made it entirely personal and extremely enjoyable. while Britney Spears CIRCUS is gonna knock it off the top spot as the album of 2008(i'm sure it may do so as Womanizer is spectacular)...for now Good Girl Gone Bad is definately the album ... I'm appalled by thias as a Motown purist. I don't know why they spent all that time having us vote for tracks when they've wasted almost a whole disc on cover versions - something Motown did very badly as a rule. I also hate the inclusion of most things after 1970. It's just not Classic Motown. Thelma's "Jumping Jack Flash" wasn't ever recorded at Motown, it's from her ABC album Sunshower. Quite the most disappointing release ever, when it should have been a treasure.
Seek out another compilation, this is not the celebration of Motown that it should have been. >>More Details |

PCD was good, this is as good as not better.
Ignore all the negative reviews, they aren't hitting the point, you hardly get a group producing such varied genres, from the mature/vulnerable (I Hate This Part) to the club bangers (When I Grow Up). When I Grow Up - Instant hit. 10/10 Bottle Pop - Features Snoop, OK attempt on a flirty electro song. 8/10 Whatcha Think About That - Features Missy, the standard PCD type song. 8/10 I Hate This Part - heartfelt ballad. 10/10 Takin Over' the World - Nice upbeat, Doll dominating song. 9/10 Out of this Club - Features R Kelly, bog standard ballad. 7/10 Who's Gonna Love U - Taken from Nicoles solo album, amazing addictive ballad, unique. 10/10 Happily ... Since his great debut album Dedicated i found his last 2 albums (with the exception of the lead singles) disappointing with many fillers. Not quite knowing what to expect with his latest release The Reason......I have to say its his best work to date. From start to finish its a great listen. Absolute quality! Every song is a winner.....Over You has to be a single!!

I kind of trusted on the reviews.Ok there are some great songs on it,the classic but also a lot of rubbish.A great number of songs (even some famous ones) sound like they were recorded with electronic music.

...the record company left a few other underrated gems like "Never Too Far" which was the second single from "Glitter" and many more from her previous catalogues.
I think the proper title should be "the incomplete ballads" or "evil marketing-ploy for stocking filler ballads" since Christmas is just around the corner. What a pity. Still a great collection but not an excellent one. >>More Details |
