Having now heard her album, to compare her to Lily Allen is a travesty. Adele is far better, her smooth voice and song writing skill for starters...
And whilst we're on the subject of comparisons, there's only one similarity to Amy Winehouse - and that is I love both of their albums, when my expectations were low. Daydreamer: A chilled, melodic start to her debut album, but on first listen you kinda want to skip it to speed up your new listening experience. This has to be the worst album i have ever heard . The only good track is black and gold. Save your money and just buy the single because the rest is rubbish

I saw this and already have it but I just wanted to say that out of all the artists that have released their Christmas album - this one by Lady Mariah Carey is the BEST to date. Also, because it's 14 years old it's really cheap. So - buy the BEST Christmas album as the bargain of the century.

An excellent album from the wonderful Craig David, so nice to hear all his hits again and all on one album! Wow!! How cool is that? Also you`ve got the DVD with all the video`s. Brilliant. Craig David is one of the best male singers about, this should be massive. Just BUY IT!

Usher becomes the victim of his own success on this album. If Jaheim or Raheem DeVaughn or Dwele had released the exact same album, it would have been a classic, but not for Usher. Instead, he comes off as a former superstar, trendsetter who's gone soft. This, for me, is not a bad thing because I can relate to this Usher better having been married 2yrs ago myself.
Songs like "Appetite", "Before I Met You" & "Here I Stand" are real/relevant to me and they stand out as my favourites. The 1st single "Love In This Club" and its remix are also brilliant but unfortunately also misleading as they do not define what the rest of the album is about. This is quite a good selection of RnB hits from past and present. It certainly fills some gaps in my CD collection. My personal favourites are the tracks by Joe, Akon, Christina Milian, Blackstreet, Boyz II Men, Outkast, Nelly and Usher. Wow! That's eight tracks! Admittedly some tracks have been played to death but there's is no denying that UMTV have put together another top quality compilation with most of the biggest names in modern RnB. I watched Dirty Dancing about 2 weeks ago and fell in love with it. I loved the music most of all so bought this soundtrack. But then I noticed Ultimate Dirty Dancing, which is cheaper on Amazon and has all of the songs in Dirty Dancing! This one has about 12. Rubbish.

This Album is really different and I expected Solange to be more into what her Sister does "Beyonce"... but thought wrong! This is really good I would say it's like "Jamelia" but with a Deeper Voice... The song's are very 70's style the upbeats, think of "Diana Ross & The Supremes" the song's are very much like them... Especially "I Decided" a great song, there is two Parts of "I Decided" Part 1 is like very 70's very dancey, but Part 2 is much better I think, Remixed by Freemasons, but ya have to Admit anything what Freemasons Remix is the Best anyway... Get This Album, it's AWESOME... To be honest I love this Music more than Beyonce and I do like Beyonce...

More melodic than Mr A-Z and so the production is slightly different to suit the style and its a fantastic result! A very gifted singer/songwriter, Favourite song is Butterfly; if i had to choose my favourite song's i would struggle so ive narrowed it down to just one.
The album such great feel and some great moments such as on Make It Mine in the 2nd verse, the few seconds before it goes into the chorus, the hits on buttefly are fantastic, the subtlety of the percussion on Coyotes starting with the electronic groove and moving to a real drum sound is genius. Theres plenty on here to make you say "this is a great album" Big thumbs up! >>More Details |
