It would be wrong to say that I have a particular problem with this album, but I can't help but be disappointed for the following reasons:
- This does indeed coincide with her tour, but there are songs in her set-list for the tour which are not on the album but are rarer and therefore should have been, (Typical Male for example) so I don't quite know how she worked it all out. - The only reason I was excited about this album was due to the "rare" live tracks; well, sadly, every single track apart from "Let's Stay Together" is already available on iTunes! In the same way that one becomes colder the further away from the sun travel, the quality of MJs CDs/LPs diminished the further away he departed from his best CD Off the Wall. As this is the CD after the great 1979 release, he still has something in his favor. By & large he was still blessed to be working with Quincy Jones & the under valued Rod Templeton. At this time he wasn't chasing the title of King of Pop, or following the latest trends. He was also using live instruments ( the lack of which, I feel, diluted his future CDs) Add to this base, the writing skills of Toto, the guitar skills of Eddie Van Halen, the vocal 'rap' of Vincent Price, and you have all the ingredients of a major, major hit.

If you were born in the late 1940's to early 1950's then you will be more than familiar with Dusty Springfield. She was on TV more than most, (and we only had 3 channels), and out of the 21 tracks on here virtually every one of them was a single. It's one of those great CD's where, even if you have a lousy voice, you put it on and find yourself singing along. Dusty may have been more for Mum's and Dad's at the time, but growing up when her hits were around, I find I enjoy this album more now than ever before. Nostalgia. That's what it is. And Dusty's unique voice is better than any around today!

will young is fab his voice is soulfull and unique like amy winehouse i like singers that are different and distinctive amy winehouse,karen carpenter,freddie mercury etc this a very good pop easy listening album he deserved to win pop idol im 21 and was young when he won i wanted him too win right through pop idol i could see he had a voice that could grown and be better he is still young now and his voice is cool gareth gates who? A great album gathering all the big hits.
Although some classic Commodores tracks are missing such as 'I Feel Sanctified'. There is another Compilation with all of their funky tracks although these are only the short versions. There should be a companion CD of long lost 12" and extended remixes. Surely 'Nightshift' was released after Lionel Richie had left the Commodores, and so it has no place on one of his albums? You may have seen Boyz II Men in the spotlight recently, as they released their own cover versions of Motown classics, which is fantastic for any fan.
