One of the best films I've ever seen. I first caught up with it late one night in the 90's and have been itching to watch it gain ever since. I found the content realistic and with little censorship made me face up to what really went on in the 1800's rather than being pampered with the traditional Hollywood take on events.

I'm giving this CD 5 stars as it is an excellent time capsule, apart from Will You there probably isn't another song in here that would be a hit today but is an excellent example of poppy punk/new wave music from 1980. I remember seeing the film in the mid 80's and buying the album the very next day, loved it and still do today. For 3 pounds you can't go wrong (the sax solo on Will You is worth that on its own)
It's a shame that there is no current DVD of the film as it creates a good feel for the environment in which this album was written. There is an angst in the more punky songs like Big Brother and Blackman which for me make these stand out tracks and the change of tempo in Who Needs It still excites me 20 years on as the song winds ... I really enjoyed the 5th Harry Potter book and mainly for the creation of Professor Umbridge! J.K. Rowling has created such a good villain with this character, I really could not stand the woman by the end of the book and the reader could really identify with the characters frustration with this vile and unfair woman. This book really sees the main charcacters growing up and is darker than the previous ones, I thought it was brilliant.

I was a fan of the original radio series of HHGTTG and I was delighted to discover these CDs. This is a great follow-on from the first series, with even more sublimely outrageous scenarios as Zaphod survives the Total Perspective Vortex and Arthur discovers the remains of a civilisation based entirely on shoe-shops. There is no better way to pass a long car jorney - my kids love these CDs, and you can listen to them again and again. When Rula Lenska appeared on Celebrity Big Brother my boys knew exactly who she was - Lintilla (and her millions of clones). Luckily for Rula there was no Allitnil in the CBB house or she would have been neutralised instantly.......

I live in the U.S., and have not been able to see the show, but I'm a big Ruthie Henshall fan, so have read a lot about it and have heard clips of a few songs. The music is beautiful, and the songs are heart-wrenching. It's especially helpful to have the printed lyrics, to understand what's going on and the emotion behind it. I love it!

I recently listened to my copy of the Braveheart soundtrack and I can say that it is easily one of my favourite film scores that James Horner has composed and I will certainly be purchasing the second album with the DVD. There are many film soundtracks that I plan to buy and even re-buy for James Horner but Braveheart is certainly one that I recommend for people who are unfamiliar with his work as his other best scores are also good but for me the Braveheart music stands out on it's own.
