Back ground music this is not! This album is full of extraordinary sounds and feelings that are powerful and strange. It is impossible to listen to this as background music, but if you enjoy music for the range of emotions and physical experiences it evokes you will love this album. Yes, there is the trademark Albarn waltz underlying "I love Buddha", and the more westernised tracks tend to be underpinned by thumping Gorillaz baselines, but this album is as strange and different as it should be. 1) One Of Your Favourite Albums.
2) A Guilty Pleasure.
Seriously. A lot of people hate Hannah Montana thinking its a stupid kids show when look at the fantastic music.
The album starts with "We Got The Party", which is upbeat, and you will soon know everyword. Then comes "Nobodys Perfect", a frequent song on the show, and is more poppy than an explosion. I saw the film first and bought myself this cd afterwards. I love every song on it. If it's the music from the film that you want it's all on here. I'd highly recommend this cd.

I've always been skeptical about Michael Crawford, although his signing is excellent, I don't think brings the true gravitas of the character of the Phantom all that well.
I do like his interpretation of 'Music of the Night' though.
I've always preferred a Phantom that doesn't have too much of a 'Choir ... Read More:
