For those of you who were there from the beginning, this CD will take you back to "The Hill". And if you are unlucky enough to be unfamilar with Hill Street Blues, never mind. The mellow, bluesy sounds will feel just right. No - it's not hard rock or rap and it will probably not win awards. What it will do is remind you that it doesn't have to be loud to be good when it comes to music. The only reason it didn't earn 5 stars is, I WANT MORE!!!!!

Although mainly American in content, this collection of classic television theme tunes from the 70s and 80s will stir up memories for all the 20 or 30 somethings who grew up with these programmes. From the childhood with Sesame street and Inspector gadget to the Student afternoon with Quincy M.E. this will bring a smile to your face.
The biggest downside is that there are some shows that have never crossed the atlantic on the terrestrial channels so you may be less familiar with them, but overall this is a collection to tease your friends with as they tear out there hair trying to place MAgnum PI or Charlies Angels - well worth a look.

There are loads of incidental scores on this CD, and most of them are good. They only last about 3 minutes each but this keeps you from getting bored. I especially like the Hunk O Herc tune which gets me whistling. However, the tune I did want, which is the main TV theme, isn't on here. Besides that I'm still glad I bought it!
