Good 2-lp's on one CD. I vaguely remember the name Fever Tree, a Houston psychedelic band that released several albums during their 1966-1970 existence. This 2-fer-1 has Fever Tree's first two albums - their self-titled debut and it's follow-up 'Another Time Another Place'. Both put out in 1966. Tunes here I got the most out of were their Beatles cover "Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out", the moody "Filligree And Shadow", "Imitation Situation" (sort of reminds me of the Guess Who), the kick-*ss "Man Who Paints The Pictures" and their best known song - "San Francisco Girls". Should very much appeal to fans of Blues Magoos, Bubble Puppy, Chocolate Watchband, Demian, Music Machine and possible Love.

I was quite bafffled by the fact that no review whatsoever is to be found for any of the Fever Tree CDs offered here at Amazon UK .........
Fever Tree's 1st ( and finest IMO ) album was an honest to goodness cult-classic in my neck o' the woods back when and it's musical content still stands today. Theirs was an energy infused version of Baroque `n Roll, think of bands like the Left Banke, performed with much more rock attitude. Of course they had a brilliant classically trained pianist in Rob Landes, but their main claim to fame lay in the booming voice of vocalist Dennis Keller and the endless sustain and colorful guitar lines of Michael ( Knust ).
From the opening tones of Michael's acoustic guitar line followed by a church ... Read More:
