I must admit I am a bit of a princess when it comes to mud & stuff, but this kit has forced me to brave it and sort out my garden. The range of tools is good and they are fairly hardwearing. If you are doing any serious hard work you will need something a bit more specific than this, but this is a great all-rounder and a really useful gift.
The kit comprises of: pink basket with removable handle to keep everything organised, heavy-weight gloves for dealing with thorny hedges & plants, light-weight gloves which are great for keeping you clean and splinter-free, ball of string for training plants, handheld size fork, handheld size trowel, kneeling mat perfect for resting your knees and keeping your clothes clean, pruning ... Works fine . But I would make a cover for it , as it is not totally waterproof . If water does get in it has to be dried out in airing cupboard . However , the main point it works , NO MORE CATS !

We have had one of these for years and this was bought as a gift for my son. If you like to watch the wild birds feed close at hand, this is for you.

I bought this for my son when he moved into a flat with no cooking facilities, after reading other reviews. He reports that he is very impressed with its performance. It heats quickly and is easy to keep clean.

We live in rural Devon and we'd been plagued by wood mice for 15 years - in all parts of our house, doing £100s of damage. Since we installed this device over a year ago, they've left us alone. Still rife in the garden & outbuildings, and in neighbours' houses, but our house is currently wood mouse free...
So I'd say, give it a try. Maybe its effectiveness varies from species to species. Could be the people it's not working for are dealing with house mice (grey/black urban animals) rather than wood mice (brown rural counterparts).

What these things are not:-
Cheap substitutes for larger dehumidifiers like the DeLonghi DNC60 (or larger!).
As described they are for small areas/spaces like cupboards, wardrobes or perhaps smaller cabins storage areas on certain boating/camping trips.
There are a variety of these out there, and are often up to £20 in price. At that price I'd say 3 stars, but this twin-pack offers good value, so hence 4.
Do read the (don't worry, short) instructions as info such as the unit warming during "recharging" is important.
Slight niggle with the indicator, that isn't too easy to look through in all but the best light. Also, when "full" the crystals are more an almost entirely transparent with a pink tinge, ... Read More:
