Installed this sucessfully on Vista 64bit. Had to install the old version of Quicktime 2.1.2 - and this got stuck trying to find other versions of Quicktime, so you have to tell it to ignore.
Looks a little dated now - graphics are a bit blocky when displayed full screen, but the games are quite varied.

My laptop graphics drivers were corrupted once I installed this software. I recommend that you DO NOT install this software. I have Vista and the software support site recommends installation of Vista Service Pack 1. The app only ran for about 10 seconds and then the screen went black. Once I logged in safe mode and completed a system restore my laptop is now working. I'm sending this software back.

This is perfect as it teaches a bit of French but is also very entertaining.
My 3 year old uses level 1 as it lets them choose what to click and then tells them the French for it. My 5 year old is on level 2 and loves the challenge as on this level they are directed (in French) what to click.
Very clearly spoken but the instructions for a couple of the games can be a bit vague.

Agree with other reviewer - very annoying that you have to wait for the quite lengthy instructions each time you start the game, or have to return to the how to screen.
Game also freezes regularly, (as I have read in many reviews of other DK software products) and the only fix they can offer is to press alt+tab and return to the game each time it happens, which means that you have to sit with your child the whole time and not just let them get on with it.
DK's technical support is very frustrating, as the only way of contacting them is via email and you have to wait for them to reply (or eventually just ignore you, after they have advised you that they have no solution to your problem...)
It is a real shame, as the actual games and activities ... Read More:

Having read the books at school my 6 year old daughter was really excited about getting the game and really enjoyed it, yes it was a little difficult in places but give it time.
Having experienced the previous living book title, Dr Seuss ABC, we expected the triple pack to keep out three year entralled for hours, it actual kept him occupied for days. The excellent narrative and structure of the software package make this one of the best children titles available. The living books triple pack consists of three differant stories on each CD, each page narrated with interactive elements, aiding vocabulary and Word recognation. Each of the stories kept our 3 year old riveted to the screen, a perfect virtual page turner, well read. Once the stories were completed, my child found the interactive element to be an excellent learning experience. He found the abilty to explore and discover new secrets on each page of every story an excellant reading aid. ... Read More:

This was the first educational software program that i have purchased for my 3 year old daughter. Unfortunately there was just too much educational content and not enough of the fun-factor to hold her attention. I feel that this program is just a touch too "old" for a 3 year old, but I do think it has alot to offer the older pre-schooler.
