rave reviews, looks good and seems to have the speed issue sorted, or so you think, fooled again! All seemed well then noticed a sudden slow down, oh dear oh dear, a scan with the lowly rated windows live onecare revealed 4 virusus plus other issues, alittle surprised to say the least, now trying Bit defender, pah web pages load quicker, don#t waste your time and don't trust the hype, try Kaspersky. Bit Def or Trend, nuff said

Having used Norton with no problems for the first 3 years with this computer, I was quite happy to stay with Norton and installed Norton Internet Security 2009 1-3 users upgrade. Easy to install, and also installed on the laptop which my daughter uses.
Unfortunately after 1 month it stopped updating on both computers, leaving them (and me) at risk. Norton were very helpful and remotely reinstalled the product. But the same thing happened again. Having spent a great deal of time trying to solve this problem I decided to cut my losses and try another product - with no problems. This is my second year of mcafee security and it does not let down. The interface is fantastically easy to use, and stays firmly in the background, only letting you know its there if it brings something to your attention. I like this as with Norton, I couldn't stand the annoying updates windows!! It is easy to request a quick scan, or even a deep clean of your computer and registry. Other feature I found useful was the tabs to overpower windows defence systems and use the much more useful Mcafee software. It also lets you help set up a network, and keeps this protected, ideal for more than one pc in the house. It even gives 3 pc's protection for the year. Sorry to be negative but just what has happened to Nero? I heartily endorse the poor reviews previously given.
To be perfectly honest, if all you want to do is rip CD's and make copies, then use Windows Media Player, or buy a OEM basic Nero 8 disc for about £1 from any computer shop. If you want to rip and copy DVD's then go to Download.Com and get DVD Shrink and CD BurnerXP for free! It's dead simple, gives you good copies, but minus all the flashing lights, whistles and bells that Nero want you to pay £30/£40 for. Within minutes of completing the acoustic optimisation procedure after installation you will be surprised at how quickly and naturally you can speak and how accurate the voice recognition is. For me, it was about 98% accurate and much faster than typing.
Unfortunately, this was spoiled by a headset that pinches, even after being adjusted for size, and leaves you with a headache within fifteen minutes. This seemed more like a poorly designed product than a manufacturing error. The manual also states that the headset can be worn either way round. However, the earpiece is obviously designed to be worn over the left ear and is much less comfortable over the right. This is inconvenient if your computer is on your right. Well.. I had been warned by a friend that this internet security package would make my internet connection even slower than other internet security packages. I have previously used Norton and although it has made the internet a little slower it was never as slow as it is now. It takes approximately 10 minutes (15minutes today) to just get onto the internet, through google. This is really annoying and I very much regret buying Norton this time around. I have adjusted the settings, but it has made little difference. I use wireless broadband, but when I'm logging into the internet, it reminds me of dial-up, admittedly once I'm logged in and on the internet it is alright, but I certainly would not recommend this product to anyone.

I've used MCAfee internet suites before and I can honestly say that I will never again. When installed they do not do a good enough job in my opinion. I use Windows Live onecare and PC Tools spyware doctor and this combination has been second to none.

it took me a while to get all the cables i need for recording but when its all setup its a brilliant piece of kit highly recommended for gamers it does record in pal 50 but if you download amcap you can get it to record in pal 60 quality is also very good the software you get with it is rubbish for recording gaming would of preferd to get studio 11 or 12 but overall it is a good product xbox live gamers get it now! oh and 1 more thing dont waste your money on the platinum edition its not worth it this dazzle is just as good!! thanks! gt:chris 0wn3d u

This programme is highly capable and highly useful. It might take a little bit of getting used to as in the way you talk to it and it needing a limited amount of training. But the end result is surprisingly accurate. I am very impressed. The biggest problem that I have is remembering to use the software as I tend to automatically go to the keyboard to type. The other great aspect of this software is that you can use it anywhere that you would normally type.
