Great program which does exactly what it says on the tin! I have had version 2, version 3 and now version 4. Easy to configure and after tweaking it to do exactly what you want will provide you with a hassle free screen. This version also provides an updater to monitor new spyware. I did personaly have a problem installing version 4 as whilst it automatically removes older versions it would not do so with version 2 and after a question on the webhelp site I was sent a patch to download which reinstalled version 2 and then deleted it and continued the installation properly. Quite simply, this is a complete must-have. Anyone who seriously wants to manage their system needs this product. Got a big disk? Partition it now! I learned the hard way. Fatal corruption of Windows - lost everything. Now I have several partitions, operating system and program files in one, data and system image in another. If you need (or want) to reinstall Windows, fire up the DOS version and re-format, resize, whatever you need. Very stable, easy to use. No serious computer should be without it. The best!

Fatal corruption of Windows - lost everything. Now I have several partitions, operating system and program files in one, data and system image in another. If you need (or want) to reinstall Windows, fire up the DOS version and re-format, resize, whatever you need. Very stable, easy to use. No serious computer should be without it. The best!

I bought Partition Magic after the setup tool for SuSE Linux failed to resize my Windows Me partition. My major reservation was with the price: ... a single CD I would use once seemed a bit hefty for a seven CD/one DVD operating system that didn't cost half as much. After having used the tool, I can say that it's pure simplicity. It's extremely easy to use, with wizards for the most common tasks (such as the aforementioned partition resizing). In agreement with Andrew Bowers below, however, it is a bit pricey for something that's going to be used a very few times. Well, I give it five stars for its usefulness, but only about 2 for ease of installation. I have Norton Antivirus installed and there is a conflict between this product and the Norton product. (I had tried Norton Antispam before but it didn't work for me.) I think however, since the first reviewer's attempt at installing it, the manufaturers have taken note, because there is now some online help on their website for users of Norton Antivirus. The help still isn't very clear as it is clearly written by teckno-geeks rather than someone who communicates in English. I bought program because only one thing - to fix internet exporer registry for search, after some spyware got better of it. All my registry files were fine, but after I used the program they were all over the place. Fine, but undo function didn't restore almost nothing at all and now my computer start crashing and registry are in chaos. When I start unistall programs, program just crashes!!! So spend your money somewhere else, this program doesn't do what it claims, just the oposite. I tried to unistall it, but it's not allowing me to do this either, so don't even bother trying demo version, you just might destroy your system. >>More Details |

I bought this product to resolve a problem created by installing, then deleting, Linux partitions on my hard disk. I had ended up with 25% of the disk 'invisible' to the main operating system (Windows Me). Partition Commander allowed me to reclaim this space and re-partition the disk for other uses, all without any loss of data. When I come to reinstall Linux, I shall be able to choose which OS at boot time thanks to System Commander PE, helpfully included. This is a great product, easy to use and great value for money. One word of warning: some processes take time to work through, so if the screen appears to go blank, be patient!
