I HAVE USED FRONTPAGE 2003 AND EXPRESION WEB SO I CAN FIND MY WAY AROUND SOFTWARE.
THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT IF YOU WANT TO THROW UP A SITE SAYING ABOUT US, CONTACT US ETC- IN OTHER WORDS A CREDIT CARD!! ANYTHING ELSE AND THIS PRODUCT FAILS MISERABLE!! I was looking forward to using this software after reading reviews (mostly good)- especially as I have not had any experience before in designing websites.
I reckon if you have not got programming experience and want to create a complicated databased site - then you will be wasting a lot of time in the beginning. If you want your site up and running sooner rather than much later- then you are better of employing the services of a web-site designer to do this for you. I wasted alot of time in becoming familiar with the tutorials, videos, etc- but did not manage to get very far and then in the end I had to find a website designer to complete my project. If its a choice between Dreamweaver 4 and NetObjects and you don't mind the $300 differential in price go for Dreamweaver every time. I settled for second best and have regretted it ever since. The program can be a bit unstable and has locked up a number of times but the recovery feature works well. The biggest draw back is the limitation on where all the files go and not having direct access to the HTML. It's a bind putting Javascript in that isn't part of the Netobjects online packages, as text outside the auto generated bits doesn't seem to be treated in the same way (rather like a second class citizen). The FTP aspect is ok but has very little feedback to the user. It's almost impossible to extract the actual files and publish ... Read More: >>More Details |

I got this software out of curiosity really. It promises much but delivers very little. I have tried to register the software several times to get an unlock code and the company have never responded. A total waste of money as until unlocked you can only use a practice database. - Amazon should withdraw this from it's catalogue as it is breaking the sale of goods act - it does not do what it says!!!! KEEP WELL AWAY
