Bought this for my grandchildren and they love it. The sticker Book is a big incentive and keeps them at it. The seven year old was struggling at school and working through the maths and English, with some help, gave him a lot of confidence. The younger two join in, and also do the lower level, and it becomes a joint exercise. All good stuff.

Very disappointing that the CD-rom has no audio component to it.While the content is good just reading text on the screen is really no better than reading it out of a book. Also the description on the cover of the CD-rom is misleading because it states that a sound card is required which would ordinarily suggest that there would be an audio component. Having opened the packet there is obviously no way of returning the item.This applies to the Maths CD-rom of this series as well.Haven't tried the English one yet and very unlikely that we will after our experience with the Maths and Science CD-roms of this series.

It was like playing game rather than doing the old boring Math revision. *Easy to install and use *National Curiiculum covered in fun and interactive format *Authored by practising teachers *Retains student interest with high quality graphics, sounds and animations. *Includes S.A.T style tests. I've got a short attention span, so normal revision never worked out for me. Without this I don't think I could got a level 8 in Math. Thanks to the manufacturer! >>More Details |

Very diaspointed and so is my 11 year old son. Unfortunately the names are not saved/ stored in the programme at all, so everything accomplished by the child is lost when you end the programme.Basically it is like using it for the first time each time you start the programme. My son is now not at all interested in these as he finds the software frustrating. In short, print off all the child has achieved each time they are on, so they know where to start from next time. Not a programme I would advise buying.

There is just so much in the new Britannica 2005 Deluxe CD you can spend hours researching and just finding out new facts. Its great for college work, the new brainstomer is an excellant addition to this new version. No student - young or old should be without one!
