Really pleased with this programme. Our 8 year old loves it. Just one note of caution though; as this is an American programme the notation refers to "quarter notes" etc. and not "crotchets and quavers", but this will not prove a problem I am sure.

This is a well-thought out piece of software which is educational without being dull. Following on from Music Ace 1, it teaches about scales, key signatures, rhythm and more with a series of lessons and games. It also incorporates a Musical Doodle Pad which my children spend ages composing little tunes with, as it is so easy to use with 'drag and drop notes'. Excellent for developing necessary exam skills like beating out rhythms and listening out for pitches etc.

This is a gem. Music Ace 2 is a very well developed programme for the young student of music, educational without being at all dull. Follows on from the excellent Music Ace 1, teaching beginning tempo, rhythm, introduces the various concepts of all the differences in tempo, beat, scales, key signatures, rhythm and more with a series of lessons and games. Teaches about the grand staff, also has a "doodle pad" where kids can make their own music & hear it played back to them, very easy to use with drag and drop notes.
