This is a first rate package for developing photoshows and doing other things - it is intuitive and therefore easy to use and the consequent results are really professional. The only negative is that initially it takes an age to load on to your PC but given that you only do this once it's hardly worth griping about. Highly recommended (the Ultimate version has enhanced capability around HD etc.)

This software is fantastic! It has helped me convert video's to iphone whilst allowing me to back up my photo's and music to a stand alone hardrive.

The first thing that struck me about this package was the load time.
Generally..you want to just click an application and get on with the job in hand.
yes..it has lots of features..but as another reviewer pointed out..most of these apps are available elsewhere..and are probably easier to get to and quicker to load.
The Media centre app is really just a version of google picasa..which is free...the roxio version is sluggish I would say.
So.. I think you'll get the gist of it's other short comings from the other reviews posted.
From my point of view it's just too much stuff in one suite of apps..it tries to be everything for everyone ..but lets itself down with the speed of loading up ...I found the wait too frustrating.

I bought this primarilly to copy my large collection of music across several DVDs (something it claims to do). However it crashes when I import lots of files.
No updates, seemingly total lack of any reponse from support. I would avoid this software like the plague.

I was wary of this purchase when it had no reviews and those of other Roxio DVD convert/copy/create products are consistently appalling (see the Easy Media Creator Suites and Easy CD/DVD Burning packages reviewed on Amazon), but I took a chance. I'll grant one star as it has managed to convert some home videos to a format I can load onto my iPod, although I've read there are various legitimate programmes that can be downloaded for free to do the same.
But I have now tried to burn a DVD from some of my home clips--nothing complicated, just various very short simple clips with no fancy features or editing, and every single time, it stalls at 9% of the 'creating DVD' job, no matter what (and renders the DVD unusable despite writing nothing to it so those are wasted). ... There is a small issue with Vista however - my version being Home Premium SP1. The OS informed me that there was an incompatible driver which as it happens is untrue; the fault being Vista's alone. Happily, on the support forum, there is a pointer to a simple fix and all is now well.

I have had two versions of this software and regret every penny paid. When It works it shows great promise but has to be the most unstable software I have ever bought. Where the blazes you get informed help I do not know.
It is hell on wheels to uninstall and slow to install and uninstall and it leaves so much on your PC. It seems that it is incompatible with some software.
Yoiu are better off buying Nero as a recorder and label maker and something like Total Recorder for internet sound. It is overblown huge slow and unwieldy in its attempt to be all things to all people.
I have had problems with an Old PC and a seriouslyt upgraded PC,

Photosuite (I have PS5)does not tell the purchaser how to delete pictures stored in its memory. If you file pics into your PC, thru PhotoSuite, and later wish to delete a few, you are not told how to do so. If such pics are personally damning in any way, this is highly irritating. Their solution? Ask for tech help for only $35.00 US. THAT, my friends, is an immoral rip-off.
