I bought the new Dance Ejay 7, couldnt wait to start using this software as i am familiar with ejay and have always liked their products, BUT, it is not supported on laptops. The other ones use to work fine on my laptop,but, the new ejay 7 doesnt want to work with my vista laptop, So, before you buy ejay 7 make sure if you are using a laptop, it will be supported.

Bought this as an upgrade from Dance eJay5 which I've been using for some time. The program is much easier to use than Dance 5 as the mixer and arranger functionality in 5 has now been brought into the same interface. The range of pre-defined synths and effects is amazing and does almost everything you want straight out of the box. Enable the advanced features and the effects list becomes almost infinite as you have total control over all the parameters of each effect! The drum sequencer is a doddle to use and can quickly produce quality sounding percussion sequences. The bass and lead synths are almost as easy, except that you can only see one keyboard octave at a time due to the height of the display. It's a pity they didn't make the ... Read More:

For the home DJ a must programme.

i was looking forward to using this product but it wouldnt play on my xp sony laptop.ejay dance 3 did.returning product.error messages on screen followed and didnt help the playability.by the way ejay dance 3 crashs after an hour or so on my laptop and unless you save the song you lose it.

This is a pretty damn good program, the best I've seen. Is't very easy to use, with countless special effects. Luckily like the people above. I mix 2 or 3 tunes a week, and so I find they are all of top qualaty. I entered Ejay of the week awards, on MTV. Check out some of the mixes, at Ejay..., and go to the community, and search for 'Weapons Factory' Under artist search, I hope you enjoy using this as much as I have. It has great pottential.

I got this for the samples so I could twist tweak and manipulate but unfortunately it crashes big style and if you try to put a sample into the wave editor, 9 outa 10 it will not recognise sample so you cannot edit fx..the same problem was found with techno 4 and dance 6..even bought ejay legends to see if theyd resolved the problem but alas nope...bit of a let down.

As my computer is what you could say slightly disabled, I opted for the less power hungry ejay. It is rather good, plentiful features like vocoder, hyper generator etc. However, if you like making trance or hard trance it can be extremly difficult to pull off. The majority of the samples are for house and garage. This is good for the people that want to make this type of music, however I do not. There aren't any stomping beats you can put in, you have to make them yourself or have some ingeniuty when positiong drum samples. I have made one tune so far, took me quite a while, longer than before. It does sound better than all my other songs but I fear I wont be able to make anymore without them sounding the same.
