My sister and I loved this series of games. We would spend a long time on it having fun and pushing our logic that bit further. We recently re-bought it (our original only worked on windows 95 I think) and spent ages re-living it all over again. Yes, perhaps recently we have not been on it that much, as we are now 18 and 19 years old and are at college and uni, but I have to recommend it to everyone. Also, if you want to buy some computer games for your kids but don't want their brains to mush, we loved 'Maths Rescue' and 'Word Rescue' - fantastic for learning how to spell and do basic maths sums. Overall, love it! :)

I have no problem with the content as such (tend to agree with previous reviewers), however, the software looks ancient. You only get it to work if logged in as an Administrator, or the program halts prompting a message "Error opening tune file ...". The tune file referred to cannot be found on the computer either because (it seems) this is internal to the program which is quite hopeless as you cannot do anything with the prompt message even if you're software literate (such as changing the folder/file permission as appropriate, assuming it's access permission problem which appears to be the case). The Publisher indicates Windows XP as being supported, but really NO, that is NOT the case if you cannot run the program as an ordinary User of the ... Read More:

As i saw in review from another coustomer (about the non-Ultimate version), the problems with Ulead Video Studio remains in the new version.
I HAVE VIDEO STUDIO 9 (German Edition).
I like it and i would like to buy the new version, because of the new possibilities, which i need.
BUT: I do not only have the same problem, which is not being able to finish the DVD, but i have the problem also also to "start" it.
When i try to import a DVD, i receive the message "Failed to read DVD information. Report ID: 0x80040901(2305).
I have 2 computers (WinXP Pro) and i installed/uninstalled them more than 20 times since July 2008 to resolve the problem in BOTH of them, but even if the program works fine for few days, then, suddenly ... Read More:

the game is brilliant and undenieble.the theme tune is great and there is a brilliant range of units to choose from.the game is about completing battles against enemys like greeks, romans, gauls or eny other ones.i also love custom battle mode where you can choose an army,a location and make up the units.it also features a great story mode where you have to be the most powerful nation of all.as the game gos the game gets a bit tricky but its still fun.however sometimes the game runs slow on some parts of levels.unline age of empires rome is more graphic like.its so fun to make up armys and conquer other peoples terrotories.

If you are using this in a full time business five days a week, it can pay for itself in very little time. For the casual user or people only using it occasionally I think its way too expensive. When I used Photoshop 3 many years ago it was also expensive, but at that time offered features that other programs could only dream about. Its layer editing was cutting edge stuff. Today even the cheapest of photo editors have these facilities and newer features added by CS3 are unlikely to be needed by most people. Successive upgrades from Adobe have been more about expensive tweaks to the program compared to the leaps between earlier versions. I find the raw file import still disappointing. I have used it for quick imports, but when compared to results obtained ... Read More:

Gamers are known for turning off their firewalls, with this one there is no need for that at all.
With its ease of installation and none of that messing about with it to get it how you want for your machine, it was easy to install.
Just install & forget about it. I waited for my activation mail to change it from a trial version to registered version and it came immediately. Had to laugh Bit defender sent it to the Spam folder...
I installed on my spare computer and my nieces computer, hers hadn't had any Internet Security for about a year, it found one Trojan and removed it no questions asked, marvelous, but couldn't delete 2 cookies that it saw as malicious?????? Hence the reason I gave it 4 stars.
On my spare one it found a few things ... Read More:

We all do it. We buy these products that we hope will make our computers do everything they were supposed to do in the first place but don't. TuneUp won't bring joy into your life, but it does pretty well.
It looks good. It loads easily, and you can understand it. If you're a computer whizz, you won't need it because you can do most of this stuff yourself (running Checkdisk for example) without any help from TuneUp. The rest of us need a little help. It only fails in its job of simplifying tasks with its Internet Optimisation, when it asks for your connection speed. People like me who need products like this are just the sort of people who'll have forgotten and won't know how to find out.
