This is simple software on which to learn to type.
I initially learned on version 8. This version 20 is a step up, but not a big one.
Given the advances in computer power and game play in the last decade, it is a real shame they have not worked those changes into the software. It is painfully dull, even in the "games" sections.
However, if you want some simple software to learn touch-typing, then this is a safe bet.

I have personally found 'Tiger' to be the most efficient OS X to date, and therefore a real favourite for a couple of years when I was working in a graphics department. Their is no doubt Leopard is a beautiful upgrade, containing a stated "300+ upgrades", however, it is by no means essential if you Mac is work work purposes. The extra features we've found are not for the productive side of things, but more for consolidating files, making things visually look better, and a few notable new programs.
In short, Leopard would no doubt be a great update for the Media orientated users, but if you're all work and no play, it's actually not that essential. "Snow Leopard" has already been announced for next year anyway, and was stated would improve ... Read More:

Photoshop Elements 6 (MAC)
Don't buy this. It's rubbish. PC program trying to run on a MAC. Spend extra and buy Aperture which is a proper MAC program. Let the PC anoraks buy this rubbish and the proper MACs win again.

A few months ago I bought a new laptop which came with Vista Home Premium pre-installed. I've now had the opportunity to compare Vista to my desktop PC's XP installation. In summary Vista doesn't make a compelling upgrade. Memory usage is considerably higher, the default User Account Control setup is so overbearing that I disabled it completely and from the perspective of the end user the new features seem to be mostly related to visual tarting up and transparency effects. These new features add nothing much to productivity. The frequency and volume of critical security patches to apply seems to continue as with XP. There are some useful features but most of these can be added to XP by using existing free applications. Not a worthwhile upgrade.

Hubby bought a PS3 a few weeks ago along with the usual warfare games which being female are not for me. Got the free trial download for Prostreet Need for Speed and I decided to have a go and enjoyed it so much we bought the game. Now I am completely hooked. I just love the challenges, trying to win the races, trying not to damage the car. I really feel my adrenalin going and my heart racing.
We also bough Gran Turismo but I cannot get into that yet and find it quite boring.
I need my life back though as I cannot tear myself away from the PS3 and Need for Speed.
Next thing is a wheel as the PS3 controls are quite difficult. Problem with a wheel though is you need a stand?

Having used MS Money in the past, I was disappointed having downloaded the trial of the latest version, that it was not possible to buy it unless you were in the US. I thought I'd give Accountz a go as to be honest there don't appear to be many products on the market. It is however one of the worst software purchases I've ever had the misfortune to use. Completely illogical in how it works (particularly if you are used to MS Money) the user instructions are poor, it looks cheap and nasty and I will be reverting to a home made database instead

A very good program, which I love using - but there are issues.
Minor fault
Some of the lower ranked 'opponants' on the program make some very strange moves - for example, sacrificing the Queen for no reason at all - when they are winning. This turns the game around immediately.
Major fault ......
The program sometimes calls a stalemate - (thus ending the game) when it is clearly not a stalemate. Quite often, this happens just as I'm about to call an extremely obvious checkmate.
Having said that, I would still recommend this program.

Typical Pinnacle fare unfortunately - more fool me. Ridden with bugs - at first it seems great, until you actually need to do anything such as change the speed of a clip or render to AVI. Mine will not do either, even with the latest patch applied.
I had a mainstream setup as well - motherboard, CPU, soundcard, DVD writer - everything except the power supply is mainstream componentry, selected with the sole intention of making it the most low-risk option I could. What a waste of time.
No doubt there are still those at the Pinnacle forum who think it's user error - it's a joke. This is consumer-level software, it should just install and run (like almost everything else).
I should have got a Mac and Final Cut. Next time, I will.
