I Love Spelling has the polished presentation we have come to love from DK's previous educational offerings but its installation routine leaves much to be desired. If you are unfortunate enough not to get this program running at the first attempt, you will find lacking instructions in the package's readme file. (Hint: if it doesn't progress past the title screen, install the WinG drivers in the D:\SUPPORT folder!). This clumsy piece of organisation on the disc costs it two stars in my estimation. Don't expect the child of the house to install it without adult help, though the games are simply understood when you have passed this pain barrier. DK has done and can do better.

I purchased this product for my 14-year old Daughter to use for her ICT homework and GCSE-based coursework. The product may be good, but trying to obtain a Licence number to use the product after the 30-day trial is horrendous. Firstly, you have to complete their Form and upload this as an attachment to an email; secondly you have to provide proof that the Student is in education; and thirdly you have to provide a photo of the Student/Child. Filling out a Form is understandable, downlaoding and attaching to an email is easily done! However, surely Adobe realise that in the UK, all children of 16 & under (Year 11 and below) have to attend School - we the parents get prosecuted if they don't. This is fantastic for learning the basics of any of the 31 languages. It has an excellent section on grammar but the rest is basically a list of about 1000 sentences for each language. You have to learn each sentence one by one sometimes, and the way it is translated into English isn't the easiest to understand, but overall this is a good program.
The Russian section on it is fantastic for anyone who speaks English. The French and Spanish sections are good, but they are more for beginners than anyone trying to become more advanced.
The Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Greek etc (all the transilterated) are o.k. for a short holiday but not if you wanted to speak it at an advanced level.
