At this price and in this day and age you would expect some well designed software to run on Windows XP. However, in common with quite a lot of DK software I've seen, you have to be logged on as administrator in order to run this. I don't know about you, but I don't really want my 3 and 4 year olds using my PC as administrators. As for older children, I dread to think what they might try! So I would say if you run XP then don't buy this, or any other Dorleen Kindersley software until they learn to design their programs to run on your operating system.

I came across the following statement in the text: "Temperature is measured using a thermometer. Temperature can be measured in either Celsius or Fahrenheit." If this supposed to be educating the scientists of the future, why is confusing them with the Fahrenheit scale? Even American scientists don't use that any more.

I gave this to my boys and they spent the weekend, on and off, working on this game. Some bits are more difficult than others, but they enjoyed the games so much that they just kept working on them.

The last / final patch for this game was v1.02. This did not address the above listed problems with joysticks. Why make a flight sim if you cannot use a joystick beats me. Keyboard flying is just not the same.
