I enjoyed using this software and was amazed at how quickly I picked and remembered the Danish words and expressions. Additional software is not required, as the CD runs straight out of the package. As an effective introduction to Danish, I highly recommended this product.
There is, of course, room for improvement, which could be made to future editions. There are no days of the week, or months of the year. The number section teaches numbers 1 to 20, but no higher. Shame really, as your score on the quiz is read to you, and can be anything up to 50.

A complete waste of money as it doesn;t load if you have XP. Have downloaded appropriate drivers and patches (after hours trying and with a very frustrated 6 year old getting upset) and it still didn't work. Don't buy it.

Microsoft never cease to amaze with their products. The 2008 version is even better with up to date revisions of current events, and many new introductions.
It wins hands down over Encyclopaedia Brittanica in terms of user frendliness and content.

Talk Now! Learn Slovak. If you are planning a trip to Slovakia and you want to learn the basic words and phrases that you are likely to need then this CD ROM is really great. Its quick to learn and fun to use, so it really isnt boring like many other "easy learning" manuals.
Don't expect this tool to teach you how a sentence is constructed, what it does do (and really well) is teach the basics, numbers, names of food, how to say the time, asking where something is etc.
From personal experience I brought this around 3 weeks before I traveled to Slovakia where I stayed for 2 weeks. Im not great at languages (and Slovak is not easy) but I really impressed the family that I stayed with.
Being a native english speaker who has lived in France now for 5 years I feel I can speak with a bit of experience on which learning aids work and which don't. I arrived in France with nothing other than the very basics (100 words maybe and a few phrases badly pronounced). Over the years I have bought several of the various aids on sale. I can confirm that the Rosetta Stone series are the most overpriced, badly made products on sale. Fortunately I tried this without buying as a friend had bought it. This course completely fails to even consider the most trusted and effective methods that all teachers have used for many years now. It is true than in the early days of learning a language a student is happy to learn a few words and phrases by repetition ... Read More:

A marvellous course for those who are a bit slow to learn, which I am due to long-term illness. Helpful exercises are given for one's own specific difficulties. No fancy gimmicks, no pushing to go fast. The accent is on accuracy without looking at the keyboard, speed will come naturally with practice. Assessments after each exercise are honest and helpful (even the suggestion that I should rest and come back when my brain was less tired on one occasion when I was feeling very tired and muddled)!
What a relief after struggling with another fancy, multicolour gimmicky CD for the past year with little success. This feed-back is all typed without looking at the keyboard, at level 8 after a relatively short time.
As the tittle says, if you want to pass your theory test this is all you need.
All the questions that can come up are on these discs
What you need to do is complete a couple of mock theory tests and then run through each question of the revision on its own not by doing a test on the sections but by selecting revision and going through each questions. The ones you get wrong try and remember them and redo the section again and you should get 100%. Once you go for the test you will remember them and will pass well.
For the hazard perception part, from the moment the clip begins just click, then once you see a hazard click then as u get nearer click again and once you are right next to the hazard click again, as long as you keep to ... Read More:
