Just to let you know that this is the best DVD on the market for the theory test. It is easy to use and is like having a virtual tutor. I am a driving instructor so have viewed loads of different DVD's. Just writing this really to advise you that the DSA question bank changes every September so all theory products prior to September 1st 2008 will be out of date by then. Any products you buy for the theory need to be 2008/2009. Not much will change but if you are paying top price then buy up to date stuff.
Thats all - hope it helps you decide.

Well, the idea was good. But so many short cuts and poor choices have been made in the 'game's development that the product is next to unusable. Problems indluce-
* On slow machines, the game speed is locked to the framerate so the game slows down to a crawl.
* The game auto-selects and in some cases, auto-changes gears for you. Thinking about gear changes is really important to learner drivers.
* No pedal support.
* If you make even a slight mistake in a practice session, it aborts and sends you back to the begining - extremely annoying and unhelpful.
* you get a top down view of your car in a little window, so that you can 'cheat' any of the manouvers. Hardly a good thing to learn to rely on.
I bought this a few weeks ago and have just got round to looking at it. Loaded fine with no problems apart from saying that it would run in basic Vista, only it didn't. No amount of clicking would get it to work and patience is not one of my virtues. I will just have to load it on the old banger that runs XP and try again in the future.

Bought this for my 8 yr old to build her confidence. Just finished real school yr 3 so the first CD Yr3 is a really good refresher. She sat there for ages with her friend working through the questions, then still was eager to continue until bedtime. The storyline & graphics were very good having to collect items going round the map to finally get the keys. The pleasure from the kids when they acheive each of the answers and stages was great to hear. Not sure they realised how much homework they did. Good for me to pick up on a lot of school work areas that she had obviously covered that I never knew she had learnt. Great !!
She can't wait to get onto the next levels & CD's.

My Son absolutely loved this programme - and the Big Reading adventure. Once patches were downloaded it worked great.... on our old computer. Now we have a new system with Windows Vista is doesn't work. On the GSP support website the only advice was 'this product doesn't work on Vista'. Slightly disappointing to say the least - you'd have thought this wouldn't have been the case. Unless anyone knows of a workaround they'd like to share, I am afraid I cannot recommend this software.

The initial loading of the program is frustrating and I certainly didn't expect to be downloading fixes on a new product. The screen does not maximise to the full size of the monitor and this cannot be fixed as mentioned buried in the help text. I would have expected both of these things to be mentioned in the advertisement of the cd rather than being hidden within the cd itself. I would expect better performance from D.K and indeed Amazon. This is the first time that I have used the internet to purchase presents and I will consider more carefully before doing so again. I will be returning this product as unfit for purpose.
