We bought this for my daughters to use, and it does everything they need it to, and they find it easy to use. They have the same version at school and it is absolutely great for composing, arranging etc - they haven't yet had anything they needed to do and couldn't.

I found this software very useful and it kept my son engrossed for a long time, he loves the sticker rewards for each task completed. My only grip is that there are no instructions, although we quickly worked out how what to do once we clicked around a few times. >>More Details |

I bought this course as once you have completed a level you get a certificate to prove your new skill. And I now have my foundation level certificate after a very short time. The ghost hands for placement is an excellent idea. For such a small price- potentially 3 certificates - can not be bad.

Being a creative (and gemini) type, I've accepted just about every type of college and university course going. Luckily I've settled down into Popular Music Studies, but I've needed various pieces of software for both work projects and uni documents. One of them was Photoshop; a program I was practically made to Marry for 2 years if I wanted to complete my Graphics Art course. It was CS2 I used back then on the iMac's, so naturally, I was worried if all my knowledge would be lost on the new CS4.

I bought this pack for my 6- and 7-year-old children, and they have very much enjoyed 'playing' with a number of the CD-ROMs. They are fairly well-designed (although some of the games tend to lead the learner to ignore the material being presented in preference for hunting prizes) and reasonably value neutral (Worst example I could find: in medieval Europe, the Christians taxed people and sent them on Crusades while the Muslims introduced architecture and philosophy). The problem is that these discs are nearly 10 years old and if I'd known that in advance I would never have bought them. The fact that the material has been republished by GSP means that the release date for the 'pack' (5 individual CD cases taped together) is somewhat misleading.

The initial loading of the program is frustrating and I certainly didn't expect to be downloading fixes on a new product. The screen does not maximise to the full size of the monitor and this cannot be fixed as mentioned buried in the help text. I would have expected both of these things to be mentioned in the advertisement of the cd rather than being hidden within the cd itself. I would expect better performance from D.K and indeed Amazon. This is the first time that I have used the internet to purchase presents and I will consider more carefully before doing so again. I will be returning this product as unfit for purpose.
