The issue of likely growing interest in viruses being written for attacks on Macs is an accident waiting to happen - as Mac User magazine (11th April 2008) recently wrote the fact pattern with growing use of Mac computers means that in their estimation 2008 will be the year the Mac hackers finally break through and recent experiments at the CanSecWest security conference demonstrated in an open competition between hackers how easy this is!
The problem with this offering is that it is Mac OS specific and so a system covering the Windows "side" if that is your set up through using Boot Camp or more likely Parallels or a comparable system on the same computer is left open to viruses. For such joint users this product will be of minimal ... Read More:

I learned to touch type on Mavis Beacon. Sadly the CD-ROM from Windows 95 is not compatible with Windows XP, so when I upgraded my computer I had to buy it again. Guess what-I've now got a laptop with windows Vista-and it's not compatible either!I will not buy it again! The program really works-I was up to 30wpm in a couple of weeks, and it's easy to do a quick refresher at the PC when you have a few minutes. Watch out though-if you are planning to change systems/computers, the CD will become useless!

i hate to admit it being a geek, but in my time using computers, xp is a much better piece of kit. xp may be slower (only slightly) but isnt as demanding on your hardware. xp may not be as flashy or pretty, but at least it gets the job done, (my vista experience had one of my webpages crashing and then as a safety precaution shut down my computer, xp takes a while to fix it and then just gets on with it)
sure vista will have some bugs, so thats another reason to get xp well at least untill they release a service pack for it.
for gaming the direct x 10 feature of vista is a good thing, but on avergae you'll need twice the specs to run a game then if you did it on xp. and seen as though only a few games to my knowledge only support ... Read More:

Every release of opensuse is just incrementally better than the previous, but the combined number of enhancements, bug fixes and various additional features make each upgrade a compelling one. Suse Linux has been one of the leading Linux distributions for a number of years, and the recent purchase of the distribution by Novell has seemingly only continued this upward trend. The option to purchase a boxed version here boils down to whether you wish to pay an additional fee to receive a support contract from Novell. If not, the the software can be freely downloaded (or you can pay somebody else a nominal fee to do it for you by purchasing the DVD-R version), and can be identical to the paid-for version once optional proprietary software is installed alongside ...
