Wow, this took so long to install I thought my PC had died! Once installed, the start up wizard was a great way to help novices like myself set up home/company details. There's also a Quick Start window which launches the most commonly-used tasks like invoicing, which saves having to scour the main interface. If you have other Microsoft products (I have Word 2007), you'll like how well they work together.
So far I have only printed out (with ease), several invoices for a freelance journalist friend. But I plan to use this to manage my household and eBay accounts and will update this review when I have had more time to explore all the features.

Perhaps it's me but a security programme that informs you that threats are present on your computer ('Look, here they are' it triumphantly crows) should allow you to delete them. Oh no, can't do that, it says to me. Best leave them where they are. Oh, by the way, it further states, every time you connect to the internet I am going to pop up and ask you for clearance. Oh, have you already said yes many times and asked me to remember it? Well, never mind. Perhaps I should disable your internet connection until you speak to me more politely.
Now, before I am considered to be a lunatic who speaks to his computer, these conversations and necessarily internalised and contain far mnre expletives as a rule. I cannot, however, really recommend ... Read More:

I run an Online Astronomy Group HantsAstro.org. This product, once updated works fine with Vista Premium. Visually it's not as pretty as Starry Night, but for the price offers telescope control with updated ASCOM drivers and runs an LXD75 telescope fine in our tests. The star catalogs are accurate and the interface, once learnt is quite useful, if a little clunky compared to Starry Night. As planetarium software goes, with introduction presentations to the night sky it does quite well. The 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' intro turns from amusing to a bit tacky after the third time you load it, but thankfully this can be turned off. Being able to generate your own reports for a nights oberving is a useful feature. If you want telescope control, this is a good deal ... Read More:

Okay, i'm up to date with modern technology and a bit behind when it comes with virus protection, lets say not as experienced as some and probably one of the youngest to comment on a product. I currently am using Norton nternet Security and thought about buying this product. But one word of advice you should consider. At the start the sign up to "Norton" is free. For a whole year it will do its job successfully, it does benefit from a simple user interface and isn't doesn't regularly demand attention. Its good for that i sing its praise. But after one year of the product, exactly 365 days. The product basically turns off. Its still monitors the basics but no longer recieves updates, so the risk is the same as before. Then comes the constant pop-up asking for a re-subscription ... Read More:

I bought this pack for my 6- and 7-year-old children, and they have very much enjoyed 'playing' with a number of the CD-ROMs. They are fairly well-designed (although some of the games tend to lead the learner to ignore the material being presented in preference for hunting prizes) and reasonably value neutral (Worst example I could find: in medieval Europe, the Christians taxed people and sent them on Crusades while the Muslims introduced architecture and philosophy). The problem is that these discs are nearly 10 years old and if I'd known that in advance I would never have bought them. The fact that the material has been republished by GSP means that the release date for the 'pack' (5 individual CD cases taped together) is somewhat misleading.
Garfield animated exercises catch attention of kids (my sister is 12 years old) and even I and my colleagues had fun to try it.
Contains exercises of single letters as for letter combinations and an error counting tool to follow your activity as for example editing a normal text document, so at next program launch you are suggested to practice one particular instead of others.

My eight year old daughter needed some extra coaching in mental maths as they call it these days. Not being very good at it myself I was recommended this package as something that would help her. It works on the idea of converting maths problems into an alien type shoot em up closely modelled on the classic space invaders.
I wouldn't say that it's my daughter's favourite thing in the world to be doing, but she enjoys it more than sitting at the table while someone fires problems at her head. After the initial grumbling she can get fairly immersed in it, and has even, on the odd occasion gotten rather competitive. I would say that her maths skills are improving, so it's doing what it says on the tin, which is surely a good thing.
