Having a house full of PC's of varying ages and a mac. I am loathed to buy
more licenses as I already have older pc and a mac version of office.
Get "Open Office - 3" virtually free and run on any machine and save files as microsft versions .doc .ppt etc and vice versa.
I am thinking of stripping vista off my childs new lap top and going over to a linux version and avoid the other rip off that is microsoft security software

Read all reviews and then purchased. Norton 360 loaded quickly, no hiccups, no nonsense. Am very impressed at how it works away quietly in the background with no reduction in speed of my laptop, in fact, in a few areas I believe it has quickened up. When it does prompt me, I am impressed at the level of sensibility of the questions. Very glad I purchased it.
I would add though, that I am using a laptop that is only 6 months old, and with 4gig memory that I upgunned myself, so I can understand some others gripes.
Lastly, somebody in Symantec may be listening: my disc arrived in a very small packet, no cardboard waste at all!

For a long while I have been wanting to start to sort out my family tree. This programme has been the answer, the CD is easy to install. The tutorial is very helpful. Already I have the makeing of my family tree going back over 100 years. The 6 months free registration to some helpful websites is vital.
Finding out your family tree does take time, this CD will not give you a long tree without some work. The Web is on the whole answer either but this great set points the family historian along the way.
A super buy, highly recommended.

This is my second year of mcafee security and it does not let down. The interface is fantastically easy to use, and stays firmly in the background, only letting you know its there if it brings something to your attention. I like this as with Norton, I couldn't stand the annoying updates windows!! It is easy to request a quick scan, or even a deep clean of your computer and registry. Other feature I found useful was the tabs to overpower windows defence systems and use the much more useful Mcafee software. It also lets you help set up a network, and keeps this protected, ideal for more than one pc in the house. It even gives 3 pc's protection for the year. However, do note that the year starts for all 3 pc's as soon as the first one has it installed. At ... Read More:

Has all the features expected from MS for a product of this caliber and runs like a champ. Has added in the ability of sharing information with other users over the network.
I can say that Office 2003 Professional is one of the best office application out today.
Bottom Line: The best of the best in office applications...

Like some here I did have the keycode issue, though despite this I have given the program 5 stars for these reasons:
1) It works - when push comes to shove you can reliably restore your data or whole system
2) It's simple - the interface is easy and being able to schedule and automate backup is really important
3) It does more than backup - having used earlier versions the additional safe zone, clean up and secure destruction are welcome features
Above previous versions I also like that you can schedule (not new) but it will just complete the backup when the backup disk is attached, meaning you don't have to have your device powered all the time. It even does a 'role up' of the incremental backups to simplify recovery. ... Read More:

After years of my grumbling about Microsoft Windows operating systems, the hand of fate intervened and my laptop's hard drive and motherboard simultaneously failed, giving me the perfect excuse to go out and buy a new Apple iMac, a machine that can run Mac OS X 10.5 and Windows alongside each other, very useful to avoid wasting my investment in Windows software over the years. Not wishing to install Vista, I instead chose to purchase the Windows XP OEM Home Edition SP3 from Amazon for a very reasonable £65.17, which arrived within 2 days with the usual Amazon efficiency.
Using the Mac OS X Boot Camp application to install my new software, I was up and running in Windows XP in less than 30 minutes, connected wirelessly to my Netgear DG834G router without ... Read More:
