It look's Smart But as always! It cannot take full control over Microsoft's built in feature's, I can only give it a rating of 2% out of 10% only for lovely colours ONLY. Thumbs down yet again for another year.

A 3 year subscription to Bullguard came bundled with a new PC I purchased earlier this year - I was a little sceptical as to the whether this would protect me as I've never heard of the brand before.
However, I've since heard many excellent reviews of the product and recently had a problem with the firewall refusing to operate. I contacted their online support and was connected within seconds to an agent who was extremely helpful and guided me through to process to rectify this.
On doing a full virus scan later the same day, the scan picked up a virus that couldn't be disinfected or quarantined. I contacted support for assistance and didn't get an online reply immediately so sent an e-mail instead. This was replied ... Read More:

What can I say; in short this is not worth buying, DON'T DO IT. I have used many of the previous versions of Ghost and I had created an image of a previous Windows installation. I had problems with my internet connection (I was told I had bad modem!?) When I was told I had to reinstall Windows; I believed I had some thing to recover. Nope, would not work!!! I then reinstalled Windows then Ghost and because I had previously installed Ghost my so called "activation period" had expired (15 days) You can ONLY activate this product over the internet. What utter non-sense!! I not only had to do without an internet connection for three weeks (turned out to be a fault at the exchange) but all the things I had on the Ghost image as well. Don't expect any help ... Read More:

On the plus side, Zone Alarm seems to have done a successful job of defending my three computers against malware for more than a year. However, it has two considerable downsides. After any update to any almost any program on the computer, Zone Alarm will sets off an alarms when you use them. For example, a minor update to Internet Explorer will set off an alarm that asks you whether you want to let the updated version access the internet. Currently, there are updates for Windows XP and Vista every few days, as well as less frequent updates for other programs. This is tiresome but potentially dangerous too, as you become so used to cancelling the alarms you could easliy cancel an alarm for something that was a real threat.
The description on Amazon does not refer to the fact that on the box Norton say if you use Norton Internet Security they recommend that you select & use Norton Systemworks Basic Edition. I presume they must clash or something but just looking at the items on Amazon it looked the better to buy. Now I have to go & return this item - what a hassle!

Disappointing release this. It's not possible to exclude specific unscannable files or folders. The code runs on Intel Macs, but only in PowerPC emulation - so it's slow. Also, it hangs when you scan a well-known Nessus test file that's been around for a year or two. Finally their customer support web site seems buggy (the confirmation emails are slow to arrive, don't summarize the info you submitted, and don't quote the case number in the subject line). All in all, pretty incompetent. Avoid!
Intego VirusBarrier 4 seems to get good reviews, and users say good things about it, so may be worth a try.
