A soon as I loaded this software problems started. The instructions are not very clear so perhaps I did something wrong, but things started happening like the firewall being turned of, or error messages saying that the disk on the destination drive had a problem. Now, to start up Save & Restore, takes about 15 minutes; although the first back up worked fine, since then it tells me that it hasn't created a back up point; when I tried to make a system restore disk ( Save & Restore said the restore disk supplied was lacking 2 drivers) the whole computer crashed in error messages about Driver Mining failed... Quite simply, this is a complete must-have. Anyone who seriously wants to manage their system needs this product. Got a big disk? Partition it now! I learned the hard way. Fatal corruption of Windows - lost everything. Now I have several partitions, operating system and program files in one, data and system image in another. If you need (or want) to reinstall Windows, fire up the DOS version and re-format, resize, whatever you need. Very stable, easy to use. No serious computer should be without it. The best!

As an anti-spam device I suppose it was effective, but only because it prevented Outlook Express from downloading any email. It also introduced instabilities in Internet Explorer and made the computer liable to crash. The automated help on the Symantec website was no use at all. After paying Symantec good money to damage my computer you can imagine I wasn't prepared to pay for technical assistance for them to try and fix it. From reading other comments on the internet I seems that the program does work for some people, but there are also many who share my bad experience. I'm afraid I've lost interest in trying to make it work after 2 weeks. My previous faith in Symantec products has gone. Only one good thing about this product, it did uninstall ... Read More:
