After converting to Mac a few years ago I still required a MS Windows interface, and so purchased 'Parallels' as it was the better rated software at the time (so I determined), but it had its flaws.
I sort of gave up the idea of running virtual interfaces until recently. My job as an Electrical Engineering Instructor requires me to work mainly with MS Windows, but I prefer using my Mac.
Recently I had been getting marketing e-mails from the developers of VMWare Fusion for Mac and succumbed to the claims they were making. I'm glad I did and have had a flawless installation. I use the open source office programs mainly and haven't yet tested the 'gaming' side of things (and probably won't). ... Read More:

I passed this on to my husband - as the IT 'expert' in our home for him to install and give his opinions.
In his opinion it is easily installed, instructions are clear , and it seems to be compatible with Windows XP which we are runnning. He says that it is a superior product to Norton - which I know we have had problems with over the past few years. The Firewall is easily customised and the Spam Filter had weeded out useless unwanted emails selling drugs and pleasure enhancing 'toys' easily and links well with Outlook and Yahoo. I feel we may have changed our alliegence over to Bullguard from Norton.

As the tittle says, if you want to pass your theory test this is all you need.
All the questions that can come up are on these discs
What you need to do is complete a couple of mock theory tests and then run through each question of the revision on its own not by doing a test on the sections but by selecting revision and going through each questions. The ones you get wrong try and remember them and redo the section again and you should get 100%. Once you go for the test you will remember them and will pass well.

McAfee produce one of the better anti-virus packages on the market, this suite of tools not only includes this great engine but also provides a software firewall and family protection from unwanted content. O.K. that is what they claim but does it work, well in a nutshell yes it does. The software firewall is superior to the basic one supplied by Microsoft but is nowhere near as capable as a correctly configured Hardware firewall. The content filtering is about as effective as they come, but with patience and time spent configuring it; it can be useful.
The biggest benefit it brings is its ease of use; everything is managed via a series of wizards making it quick and simple to configure.

One thing about Symantec products is they work, if you just want a good anti-virus scanner that is simple to use and that is simple to keep up to date then this is the answer. The user interface if minimal, allowing you to scan your drives individually or all at once as well as manually running the update program. Other than installing it and letting it run a full system scan every now and then there is nothing to do, the software runs in the background; along with the auto updater.

Elements 6 is great, it is friendly stable and productive. I have to say that it doesnt seem to offer that much more than 5 though.
However, as a bundle this is really poor. Premiere 4 is VERY unstable and slooooow even on high spec machines. Avoid the bundle and but Elements on its own or even gor for Elements 5 which might be cheaper but isnt Vista compatible.

I bought this based on having had the print version as a child and the advertising saying that contained everything that is in the print version. If it is I cannot find it. Anything I have looked up has no more than a few paragraphs of information. Disappointed and would not bother with it much now as the few times I have referred to it, it has given little information and not the information I sought
