the game is brilliant and undenieble.the theme tune is great and there is a brilliant range of units to choose from.the game is about completing battles against enemys like greeks,romans,gauls or eny other ones.i also love custom battle mode where you can choose an army,a location and make up the units.it also features a great story mode where you have to be the most powerful nation of all.as the game gos the game gets a bit tricky but its still fun.however sometimes the game runs slow on some parts of levels.unline age of empires rome is more graphic like.its so fun to make up armys and conquer other peoples terrotories.

I have no problem with the content as such (tend to agree with previous reviewers), however, the software looks ancient. You only get it to work if logged in as an Administrator, or the program halts prompting a message "Error opening tune file ...". The tune file referred to cannot be found on the computer either because (it seems) this is internal to the program which is quite hopeless as you cannot do anything with the prompt message even if you're software literate (such as changing the folder/file permission as appropriate, assuming it's access permission problem which appears to be the case). I have only given this one star because I am not sure it can have no stars on this review. But that's what they deserve. Don't buy this or any other AVG product. Their customer service is non existant; no one on the other end of the phone, no one on the other end of the emails. This, once loaded, has crashed my browser, I have no access to the internet and no one has even tried to help me despite my numerous pleading messages. I have unloaded it and read all the 'facts' and help pages on the website and then re-loaded it and tried to sort it out and still no joy. I am trying to get my money back. Suffice to say I am furious!

A few months ago I bought a new laptop which came with Vista Home Premium pre-installed. I've now had the opportunity to compare Vista to my desktop PC's XP installation. In summary Vista doesn't make a compelling upgrade. Memory usage is considerably higher, the default User Account Control setup is so overbearing that I disabled it completely and from the perspective of the end user the new features seem to be mostly related to visual tarting up and transparency effects. These new features add nothing much to productivity. The frequency and volume of critical security patches to apply seems to continue as with XP. There are some useful features but most of these can be added to XP by using existing free applications. Not a worthwhile upgrade.

I recently bought this game to cheer myself up and boy did it do the trick. This game pleasantly suprised me with the quality of the graphics and although the game play is fun it lacks an air of difficulty. Republic commando allows you to control a team of 4 commandos during the clone wars and as another suprise doent contain jedis. You follow the back story line which is nice as it seems the game doesnt have to follow a srtict line to please fans, which gives it an air of mystery, which can only help its overall fun factor. All in all a good buy (special at the price i bought it for) that will entertain you for a while.

I've been in IT for over 30 years, many of them using MS products. I have an IQ of around 140. It took me five minutes to get into the stupid, fiddly plastic packaging. Absolutely appalling design - unless it was designed as a MENSA puzzle!
Then I tried to activate the full key having been using a 60 day free trial key. That in itself is an adventure. The instructions provided were useless. The instructions on the internet were useless but I got there in the end. The product itself is fine and great value but they don't half make you work for it. 0/10 for packaging, 0/10 for activation instructions, 8/10 for the product. >>More Details |

Having been using a product I purchased 4 years ago and trying to use that for capturing hdv, this product is a godsend, I use it to capture hdv from my Cannon HV20 and it works perfectly no problems whatsoever, nice and easy and fast. The cd burning is awesome it takes only a couple of minutes to burn a full cd, my old product used to take around 11 minutes (nero essentials). Probably my only gripe I have with this product is that some of the applications take a while to load, perhaps instead of making it look so pretty they (Roxio) should of concentrated on efficency.
