I run an Online Astronomy Group HantsAstro.org. This product, once updated works fine with Vista Premium. Visually it's not as pretty as Starry Night, but for the price offers telescope control with updated ASCOM drivers and runs an LXD75 telescope fine in our tests. The star catalogs are accurate and the interface, once learnt is quite useful, if a little clunky compared to Starry Night. As planetarium software goes, with introduction presentations to the night sky it does quite well. The 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' intro turns from amusing to a bit tacky after the third time you load it, but thankfully this can be turned off. Being able to generate your own reports for a nights oberving is a useful feature. If you want telescope control, ... Read More:

Bought this for my 8 yr old to build her confidence. Just finished real school yr 3 so the first CD Yr3 is a really good refresher. She sat there for ages with her friend working through the questions, then still was eager to continue until bedtime. The storyline & graphics were very good having to collect items going round the map to finally get the keys. The pleasure from the kids when they acheive each of the answers and stages was great to hear. Not sure they realised how much homework they did. Good for me to pick up on a lot of school work areas that she had obviously covered that I never knew she had learnt. Great !!
She can't wait to get onto the next levels & CD's.

This has to be the best in the world for online safety.
Gamers are known for turning off their firewalls with this one there is no need for that at all.
With its ease of installation and none of that messing about with it to get it how you want for your machine, its a doddle to install. Just install & forget about it.
I now know why this is voted the best everywhere, it found a virus on my computer that my old (but well known)virus software hadnt picked up, problem solved.
It is so easy to use. Good value for money and the one Amazon is selling is for a 3 pc license....Awesome
I love Myst IV, it's an amazing game and very absorbing. I do find the puzzles hard but having found a website that just gives hints to point you in the right direction, I've been able to solve each puzzle myself. The graphics are incredible and when puzzles are solved and, as in some, a video sequence is triggered, it is truly rewarding and amazing.
I don't like war or battle games and this is the only one of this kind out as far as I've seen. I'm glad they've been brought out to be compatable with Vista as I've got XP on a separate hard drive in order to play this game. I've yet to get Myst V and Uru, both of which are Vista compatable.

My eight year old daughter needed some extra coaching in mental maths as they call it these days. Not being very good at it myself I was recommended this package as something that would help her. It works on the idea of converting maths problems into an alien type shoot em up closely modelled on the classic space invaders.
I wouldn't say that it's my daughter's favourite thing in the world to be doing, but she enjoys it more than sitting at the table while someone fires problems at her head. After the initial grumbling she can get fairly immersed in it, and has even, on the odd occasion gotten rather competitive. I would say that her maths skills are improving, so it's doing what it says on the tin, which is surely a good thing.

Myst III was actually the first out of the series i played. I must admit when i first looked at it i wasn't sure what to do with it and i left it. Then one day i thought to have another look and discovered a puzzle. I say discovered because it wasnt the most obvious. That started me thinking and soon i got so into it that i couldn't wait to get back from work to discover more. I think this is one of the best games i have played and the graphics are amazing. If you like to solve things rather then shoot everything that moves then you should definately try this game.

A great disk, both my kids loved it, I bought this to try and get my little boy to advance with his reading and he loves it. Takes a while to figure out how to get into the different rooms, but both my 4 year old and 6 yr old can work the computer by themselves using this software, it really is easy. A great interactive program.

As a business user I don't really have anything good to say about Office 2007. The new interface now requires 3-4 mouse clicks where 2-3 were needed previously. Many of the keyboard shortcuts no longer work or don't work the way they used to (I don't use the mouse very often). It's not possible to customise the menu structure to any extent as Microsoft have imposed the "ribbon" structure with it's fixed content.
Many of the highlight colours just don't stand out e.g. highlighting text is pink on a white background but highlighted buttons are a sort of yellow colour. There are also only 3 colour schemes available, blue, silver or black. None is particularly attractive and none is particularly clear. Differentiating between several windows often ... Read More:
