My four year old daughter who is coming along really well with her reading and has mastered some two to four letter words, loved this Reader Rabbit CD Rom. She understood and enjoyed every step of the way. It was easy enough for her to navigate, fun enough so that she didn't get bored and most importantly easy enough for her not to get discouraged yet difficult enough to present some challenge and for her to learn and practice her words through it. It saved her progress and allowed her to go back to where she left off. She did the whole CD Rom in no more than 5 seatings (couldn't get enough of it) and enjoyed it lots. The only bad thing I would say about the whole thing is that the 'record and play back feature' didn't work as 'we did not have ... Read More:

Like the original Zoombinis - see review - this clever little game presents children (and adults) with a series of puzzles which the likeable and beautifully characterised Zoombinis must solve to make their way to the promised land. Not only is this immense fun, but it really does, as it says on the package, develop your logical, maths and science skills. It's the only computer game I've come across which children really enjoy, and which contributes directly to building up educational skills. Great stuff.
One downside: this is an antique game, and looks a bit old-fashioned. But that shouldn't deter anyone under 10, or over 35.

I was looking forward to receiving this game and it has to be said that there is a good many puzzles of various discriptions. My disappointment came when the puzzle pieces are odd shapes and there is no choice for the conventional type of piece. I probably will not get my moneys' worth from this game and will probably try to sell it on through amazon.
If you like puzzles that are not conventional type pieces then this is probably the one for you. It is nicely laid out with hints and cheats. Gaming against the clock etc. I just enjoy doing puzzles and they take as long as they take.
I hope this review will help you.

Ghost Recon (and its two expansion packs) for under a tenner? That just has to be one of the best gaming bargains around.
In GR you take control of up to 6 soldiers in up to three squads. You can switch between each man and control him individually, with his squad-mates following along under AI power.
So - select you men, tool them up and get going on some very lovely maps. Clearly the graphics are no longer cutting edge, but little touches (such as swaying trees) make a big difference. As do the size of the maps - large. Lots to explore and a good bit of sniping to do.
The missions in the three games are quite varied although I was disappointed with the Island Thunder pack.

Ninja Brain Workout is excellent on Windows Xp. There are many hours of enjoyment to be had with Jigsaw Mania (it is addictive!!). You can make your own jigsaws and email them to friends. The other games are very good also.
There is a mouse problem when installed on Windows Vista 64. Mahjong and Jigsaw Mania lose contact when picking up a piece and drag it along like a dog on a lead. All of the the other games work perfectly in Vista 64.
The Makers state that it is not designed for Vista 64.
If you want hours of fun then try it. It is well worth it.
