My parents bought this for my younger brothers when i was a teenager (about 15) and it had the whole family totally engrosed for hours and hours. Even I had to finish all the levels and beleive me it gets devilishly hard as you progress to the higher levels. But isn't too chalanging at the start.
Now i'm a mum too, and bought this for my son as soon as he could use a computer - a bit optamistic since it was a bit advanced for him, but by the age of 5 1/2 he loves it, and is completly addicted.
Addressing some of the critisism other users had made:
One user complained that the game did not really use any maths - which i completly disagree with, granted there's no maths in the traditional sense but the logic skills ... Read More:

There is a revising section on the CD that we expected to give at least some teaching, and that sentation is given after its name. The problem is that we can see no difference from the tests itself. It is just automated learning. Frustration!

The games are challenging enough to keep him interested, but still learning through play, so that he doesn't lose his patience as he has done with others. It was really important for me to find a way of helping him forwards with ... Read More:

I bought this software to use with children with special needs having already purchased the Zoombinis Maths Journey. I was very impressed with the simple to use interface and presentation of the programme. The tasks are set as an adventure and the children enjoy using the programme without realising that they are exercising their maths skills. I have found that it can even be used by a child with severe learning difficulties. It is a programme that can challenge the childs skills in a way that would be hard to achieve with "pen and paper".

This is a perfect example of DSA using its status to sell a product that does not have the content to justify the price. Almost all of this supposedly interactive CD is merely the presenter explaining examples of hazards (information you will probably have read about in various other publications anyway) and showing you what to expect when you get to the test centre (which you will see on the free CD you are sent when you book your theory test). The 'interactive' part consists of only 10 hazard clips - which, bearing in mind that you can only practise with these once for them to be effective, is a measly amount. If you are buying this mainly for its interactive element, to practise for the test, I really would advise you to explore other options and ... Read More:
