I really enjoy making my Family tree!

Great software that got me out of a hole by allowing me to install Windows 2000 on a Mac Pro so that I could run a vital legacy application that only runs on Windows 2000 (an OS long discarded). The software just works, which is exactly what you need. As ever, read the manual to get the most out of it -- especially when it comes to configuring network and display settings.

This package is great! I personally really like the look and new feel of the Ribbon layout. This new version is much quicker, sleeker and more innovative to use than 2003!
2007 integrates lots of useful little things, that make up for a big change! These little things like when you set up your email account in outlook, you just have to enter your email address and password, and outlook automtically logged in to my Gmail account and pulled down all my emails. One thing i will say is that it is a shame that the ribbon layout does not continue through to publisher, but then it might not work out so well in publisher! In one paragraph...i took the chance and took a day out my life to upgrade with the Vista Basic OEM software and it worked, well. My integrated sound card worked straight away and this was probably due to being connected to the internet whilst loading Vista. I did delete a few programs on my now old XP running PC, but left Broadband and every other vital program intact. I had to reinstall Office 2007 and my printer etc. My video card is older and doesn't work with my new Vista DVD media Movie Maker nor 'some of the non essential DVD features' of my seperate new Roxio burn suite software 2009, really only the DVD player side, but other than that Vista has given my 2006 PC no problems. Having used Final Cut Express 3.5 for a while now, and after editing numerous projects I welcomed version 4's release however I must admit to being rather disappointed. The new features seem next to non-existant and although Apple are really pushing the new version I would be tempted to go with version 3.5 as your paying a lot less and getting basically the same package. Parhaps when version 5 is released in the future it will be a bit more of a step forward as opposed to a step sideways.

A series of colored balls (with the number of different colors increasing every few levels) gets pushed and you have to match them in sets of three or more in order to remove them - and prevent them from reaching the end zone. If you are using this in a full time business five days a week, it can pay for itself in very little time. For the casual user or people only using it occasionally I think its way too expensive. When I used Photoshop 3 many years ago it was also expensive, but at that time offered features that other programs could only dream about. Its layer editing was cutting edge stuff. Today even the cheapest of photo editors have these facilities and newer features added by CS3 are unlikely to be needed by most people. Successive upgrades from Adobe have been more about expensive tweaks to the program compared to the leaps between earlier versions. I find the raw file import still disappointing. Even though I've used Indesign and Freehand professionally (at work) for years now, I still can't say that I prefer any of the two to Serif PagePlus. I use the latter personally (since it's not "a standard" used in professional studios - unfortunately!) and I must say that in my 5 year work experience I have *never* encountered a crucial feature missing from PagePlus that I can find in either Indesign or Freehand. On the other hand, there are many things that I actually do miss in the Two that I DO have in PagePlus. And for that price! Highly recommended!

This product advertises 8 activities. One of these is 'meet the characters', an 'activity' where you hover your mouse over the characters and a *written* description of them appears. Not much use for all but the most precocious three-year-old, and hardly an interesting activity even for a child who can read. Another is a colouring activity ... where you select a picture, print it off, and off goes the child to colour it in. Except they don't, because when a child wants a go on the computer, that's what they want, not colourin. Computer colouring is great for little ones who haven't the precision yet for proper colouring, so this misses the trick.
