I purchased this product for my 14-year old Daughter to use for her ICT homework and GCSE-based coursework. The product may be good, but trying to obtain a Licence number to use the product after the 30-day trial is horrendous. Firstly, you have to complete their Form and upload this as an attachment to an email; secondly you have to provide proof that the Student is in education; and thirdly you have to provide a photo of the Student/Child. Filling out a Form is understandable, downlaoding and attaching to an email is easily done! However, surely Adobe realise that in the UK, all children of 16 & under (Year 11 and below) have to attend School - we the parents get prosecuted if they don't. I brought this product 4 weeks ago, its brilliant. l have been using it to Record TV and Camcorder footage to a hard drive. The wonderful thing about it is l can put recordings onto my newphews PSP and my ipod, and you dont have to be a clever clogs to do it. Actually, l must say, l am away quite often and have to do my bit to meet clients in the evening, so l take it with me and record TV programs from hotel television, straight to my hard drive and watch it when l get back in. THIS IS A MUST HAVE.

This is the worse piece of software i`ve ever encounted for use on vista !!! It crashes , freezes and locks up at the drop of a hat whilst trying to do the most basic of editing tasks like adjusting clip volume . I would not recommend this product to anyone , put your money into something that actually works from adobe.

I really can't imagine what the other reviewer was doing to have so many problems. This O/S is rock solid for me.
There are some driver issues that should be investigated before proceeding, as not absolutely everything is supported. I am currently running 3 64bit O/S machines, one with Vista64 and one with Server 2003 64bit. The third,XP64 is quicker that Vista for the applications I use it for, and simpler to use than Server2003 for everything else. I can only imagine the other reviewer had an incompatible machine, or perhaps didn't take the time to do the correct driver installs and updates. >>More Details |

This is a great little piece of kit for the money. It's relatively easy to use (although the lack of written instructions make it a bit daunting to start with), and allows you to create wonderful designs. I've been particularly pleased with its ability to convert pictures, but be warned they can be quite big. I would advise that you buy a shade card as well, from one of the main silk manufactures like DMC, as it allows you check the shade the computer is suggesting against the real thing.

I run an Online Astronomy Group HantsAstro.org. This product, once updated works fine with Vista Premium. Visually it's not as pretty as Starry Night, but for the price offers telescope control with updated ASCOM drivers and runs an LXD75 telescope fine in our tests. The star catalogs are accurate and the interface, once learnt is quite useful, if a little clunky compared to Starry Night. As planetarium software goes, with introduction presentations to the night sky it does quite well. The 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' intro turns from amusing to a bit tacky after the third time you load it, but thankfully this can be turned off.
