Very poor. Insists on planning strange routes and gives you very limited control over the direction it makes you go. No support at all for uploading waypoints to GPS units without a pocket PC, so useless for anyone with a Garmin Etrex or similar. No print button on the map planning screen, so you can't make a paper copy of your route if you want one. Clumsy navigation around maps, with no pan button! You have to click at the side of the screen to pan, which means if the waypoint you want is at the edge of the map you have to pan it first, even though you can see the location you want to mark!

Only works with a PDA, so no good installing this on your laptop and using that to navigate - it won't do it.

Well I got it with my last PC and it was brilliant. Great for those who want the multimedia benefits of Vista but with out the stupid system requirements to run it smoothly.

The theme used for MCE is brilliant. A much sleeker looking theme that's easy on the eye. Normal XP users can download it. Just type in Royale Theme on google ;)

The media centre part of it is really cool aswell. It's similar to the one's found in Vista. Slick, quick and stable.

MCE is also built upon XP Professional not Home. So it's got all the advanced networking features.

Basically, if you're not a gamer and don't need DX10 graphics, 64bit CPU and more than 3gb ram then this is perfect.

As a business user I don't really have anything good to say about Office 2007. The new interface now requires 3-4 mouse clicks where 2-3 were needed previously. Many of the keyboard shortcuts no longer work or don't work the way they used to (I don't use the mouse very often). It's not possible to customise the menu structure to any extent as Microsoft have imposed the "ribbon" structure with it's fixed content.

Many of the highlight colours just don't stand out e.g. highlighting text is pink on a white background but highlighted buttons are a sort of yellow colour. There are also only 3 colour schemes available, blue, silver or black. None is particularly attractive and none is particularly clear. Differentiating between several windows ... Read More:
