I was wary of this purchase when it had no reviews and those of other Roxio DVD convert/copy/create products are consistently appalling (see the Easy Media Creator Suites and Easy CD/DVD Burning packages reviewed on Amazon), but I took a chance. I'll grant one star as it has managed to convert some home videos to a format I can load onto my iPod, although I've read there are various legitimate programmes that can be downloaded for free to do the same.
But I have now tried to burn a DVD from some of my home clips--nothing complicated, just various very short simple clips with no fancy features or editing, and every single time, it stalls at 9% of the 'creating DVD' job, no matter what (and renders the DVD unusable despite writing ... Compared to other solutions that I have used before (Pinnacle, Ulead), Movie Edit Pro delivers much more stabilty and more functions. First, I took me some time to understand the workflows, but after that it was simply joy. For example: You have 99 tracks, other have 3 or 4. You never need 99 tracks, but you need sometimes 5 or 6 for titles, effects, some noice, music.....and you can use any track for all kind of medias, also pictures. The effects are all realtime and non destructive....
Pros: - you need 2 hours to understand the principle, after that VERY easy to use - great deep in functionality, you can build your own effects, create pro looking DVDs... - youtube upload is fun - cheap price for high quality ... Read More: >>More Details |

I bought this a while ago, whilst it does have some useful application, e.g. cutting tracks, splitting, and allowing you to mix tracks together it leaves the sound of the final saved MP3 tinny. There are free MP3 editors on the web which will do a better cutting job for you and save in the original format. This is one faster and two doesnt disrupt the sound after editing. I cant even say that you get what you pay for as I am now using much better freeware over this piece of kit for the editing; the useful features such as audio mixing are the only part I still may use but even then I avoid it due to the poor sound quality post saving.

I started teaching myself to play the guitar around half a year ago. I started with Dick's Guitar (Absolute Beginners)and withing a week or 2 I'd picked up a few basic chords and was hitting the internet for basic songs that I could play. I was happy with that book even if it didn't take long to get through. Due to work constraints, it's difficult for me to get a tutor so I'm learning a few tricks off people I know who already play the guitar.
So what do you expect from a cd? An interactive set of tutorials would be nice. Instead what you get in this CD is 10-20 lessons (2-3 paragraphs each not including those lessons with the same tune just played at a slightly faster tempos) mainly composed of text with little in terms of interactive ...
