I hate cutting my hedge. I'd let it turn into an overgrown mess before finally getting round to buying these cordless hedge trimmers.
I'm really pleased with their performance. They are lightweight and easy to use. A longer blade might be slightly better, but this cheaper shorter version still works fine, and its fairly easy to keep trimming level. I was worried about whether lower powered cordless hedge trimmers could cut the thicker stems, but they've managed fine with my overgrown privet. I would recommend this to any amateur gardener, particularly those who don't want a gym workout every time they trim the hedge. >>More Details |

Shreds right through wood with ease, just dont hit a rock with it or use it where you may dig into soil (like digging out tree stumps). Unless you plan to replace it.

Before buying this product I was using an old, tired, electric hedge cutter on my mother-in-laws leylandii hedge. You had to force it into the hedge and almost saw it off.
This one is like using a light sabre from Star Wars. Touch the blade against the hedge and it cuts - simple as that. It is almost a pleasure to cut the hedge now (well nearly). >>More Details |

This item is far better than I expected of a cordless hedgetrimmer. It is light and quite powerful, and I have used it frequently as it is so much easier to use than getting out cables for my electric one. There are a couple of minor drawbacks.
1. I find the battery difficult to remove, because it involves pressing the release catch in the opposite direction to the battery removal direction. 2. Operation of the trimmer involves squeezing two levers/catches together which, although not difficult, does seem to be at an awkward angle, and my hand and arm muscles ache after a relatively short time. This operation seems common to most hedge trimmers, but my elecric 'Little Wonder' trimmer is much easier as it requires only fingertip ... Read More: >>More Details |

This is a fantastic hedge cutter - well worth the extra money over the less powerful ones! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is it could do with a longer blade. There is a longer blade model available & I wish I had gone with that. This slices through even the toughest parts of my horrendous hawthorn hedge. It is light enough for me to use too. My previous hedge cutter was the Bosch cordless - unless you have a small hedge - stay well clear. Battery only lasts long enough for about 10-15mins effective cutting. Once its power drops it becomes almost useless.
