Lamaze have a wide range of items for babies which all seem to work well. Stretch the Giraffe contains a wide range of colours, rattles etc to stimulate baby and keep him interested. The belly is black, white and blue - easy colours for baby to focus on in the early days. When baby is a little older he'll be interested in the dangly stretchy legs - one foot has a squeaker, two have (different) rattles and the fourth one is crunchy. There are numerous 'taggie' ribbons on Stretch which babies seem to find fascinating. Even later on baby will make good use of the teething rings. I bought this toy as it looked like it would hold my attention as well as my baby's! It did the trick as there are so many little details on it. Alongside the bright colours, which were great for my newborn as he is not able to feel the different materials yet, the back is black and white which he spends forever gazing at. Having bought the lamaze monkey also, Freddie has much more to do, including a mirror under one wing-great for peek-a-boo!

Although after about 10 minutes or so every day using this you will wish you never purchased it (I know a song that will get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves.....)your baby will love the animal sounds, the repetition and the flashing lights and this will encourage them to start babbling and gurgling......which is just delightful!

Bought this as a present for my cousin's son's christening back at the beginning of the year. An immediate hit with not only the 1 year old being christened but also with his 3 year old sister and cousin, in fact it was a hit with the adults too!
There haven't been any problems with it, and the legs stayed once you put them on it unlike on some of the others that my friends have for their children. All in all good value with the amount of things for the kids to do and for how long it will appeal to them as well as the sturdyness in comparision to other makes. >>More Details |

I bought the bilingual (French/English) version of this toy 2 months ago and so far my 10 month old has not shown any interest. He will look at it for about 10 seconds and then move to something else right away. I am hoping that he will grow to love it when he is a bit older but right now I would not recommend it.

I was given a sun jar recently, and it really is absolutely beautiful. There isn't enough light to read by, but the glow it gives is so very comforting and cosy, and for atmospheric mood lighting, I can't imagine anything nicer. It makes a wonderful nightlight - very warm and soothing, and because it doesn't plug into the wall, you don't need to worry about frying your lampshades or wasting electricity.
Its being a jar very much adds to the romance of it; almost as if you went on a picnic that day, went into the woods with a jar to catch tadpoles or butterflies and caught the sun instead - really sort of magical. I had done a weeks worth of research before purchasing this baby monitor, and i have to say i am really impressed its a clear as a bell and really easy to set up we just plug in and go, the thermometer is slightly out but only by a degree, i have a grobag thermometer to compare this too. I can even hear my five month old sucking his fingers in the night which does amuse me and my partner. I havent needed to take the parent monitor off the base yet as we live in a flat so i am only using it at night time. We live in a flat and i was worried that this might pick up other monitors if they were in use, but they dont. This is well worth the money.

My daughter loved these after they were given as a present. However, despite trying really hard to get all of the water out after every use, and storing them so they could drain, they gradually turned black with limescale and mildew, and even squirted out little black bits. We've sadly had to throw them out as we simply could not get them clean. >>More Details |

I have just purchased this for my 9 month old daughter. She is having a great time jumping around in it and loves the fact that she can stand and move without me having to hold her all the time (which is a big plus point for my back too!!). So far it is well worth the money and I'm really pleased that we got it.
