I bought this for my 8 year old daughter and she liked it - mind you it only lasted for a day or so and the scents were not much to write home about. I cant help thinking that a good ol go with some rose petals and water has about the same educational level. i think that it could have had more scents in it - and more interesting ones too. These packs never have enough stuff in them and once they are gone they are gone. Mind you my daughter did enjoy doing it but beware - you may have to wear rose and mint perfume!

My 2yo daughter was bought one of these as an early Xmas present.
I just don't get the incredible overwhelmingly-positive reviews that this thing has received. I mean, I know elmo is somewhat more ingrained in to US culture than that in the UK but overall, the toy is a) expensive and b) of limited appeal. Specifically it's hard to understand what he's saying sometimes, there are a limited number of actions/speec programs and apart from pressing his stomach/foot/nose/back etc, I can't see how this is going to last beyond a few days. I'm not into being the arbiter of my child's toys - but at £50+ I am seriously considering selling this and getting something more worthwhile (daughter hasn't yet got to play with in in earnest ... Bought this for my daughter last Christmas and frankly hasn't worked properly since. You can't get rid of the previous drawing. The new drawing line is so thin and faint you have to go over the line a number of times to see it. All in all very disappointing and not at all like the original one I had many years ago.

We bought this camera for my 3 year old son this time last year after showing an avid interest in using my own Digital SLR's! As has been pointed out in previous reviews, image resolution is low and shots with flash are often burnt out. However, even with that, my son loved the camera showing great pride in taking pictures and immediately showing the person the picture displayed on the monitor (no matter how good or bad it was!). Always with a grin and enjoying it immensely - which is what it's all about IMO. Sure, the twin viewfinder suffers from parallax error at close distances but my son soon learned to frame using the rear monitor. We bought this item for our daughter last Christmas and is a much loved toy, our daughter is almost 2 now and it still gets played with every day I am also a childminder and it is a favourite with children from 9 months to 3 years. Much more fun than the more old fashioned rocking horse and very well made, very sturdy and boy does it get some bouncing!!

Got these for my daughter for christmas and they look great. I had been warned they were small but they were not as small as I had thought.

I bought this last year for my then 5 year old son, but my 8 year old daughter enjoyed it more at the time and now they both play it - very good toy - keeps the mind going - even for the adults. Good for keeping them quiet for a while. Very durable - just don't lose any of the cars, (which shouldn't happen if they pack it away in the provided bag). I am now buying 'hoppers' this xmas in the hopes that it brings as much pleasure and quiet time!
