...in Series 2 'Evolutions' - so named because the original 80 Go Gos have kept their basic shape but changed colour and design in every conceivable way in the second wave or their quest for world domination. Like the first series for my five-year-old son these are the next big thing. A packet of three Go Gos with stickers costs only one pound so they fall very nicely into the pocket money bracket. The figures themselves are small, colourful, durable and bursting with individuality and personality. Eighty to collect (plus different colour combinations) will keep him going.

This is a great toy, whoever designed it must have done it through the eyes of a child. The detail is impressive and so is the functionality. I think it offered great value for money and I think its great!

I am another person who remembered having lots of fun with this as a kid.
Bought one for my 4 year old who had a great time moving the pieces, putting arms for noses etc for about 3 days. Since then he has hardly touched it and I can't remember why I have such fond memories either. Maybe, compared with current toys, its scope is a bit limited. I understand there are add-ons which would increase the permutations but, still, it seems a bit repetitive. >>More Details |

Not a very well made toy. Doesn't close properly, certain things don't work properly, small hole covers come off easily, very 'flimsy' feeling. Would not recommend. Don't want to return it as my 6 yr old son seems to like it - not as much as I think he thought he would though.

The Island of Gorm is basically a battleground for your Gormiti characters. Unless you already have a collection of characters, the island is of limited use.I was stunned at how poorly manufactured this product is. The plastic structures are incredibly cheap and flimsy. From about five feet away the watch looks quite good, the detailing on the front is well moulded and it generally looks quite real and solid, indeed from five feet the watch looks as it does in the photograph above; don't be fooled this is the best it will ever look.
When you get close enough to actually touch it and pick it up, the cheap slightly shiny grey plastic creaks in your hand, belying the flimsy construction. The front of the watch is opened with a difficult to reach, loose fitting plastic stud on the top of the adjustment dial, which itself is moulded into the main body and does nothing, revealing the face of the watch, which conspires to be shadowy and difficult to read. Bought this along with other gormiti stuff for my sons birthday, he has played with it a bit but as soon got bored with it. The biggest let down is the DVD that comes with it, it is very poor quality and is more like a advertisement with no real animation, just bad voice acting and still shots.
My advice: buy the 4 pack figures, avoid the playsets - they are very overpriced. Hope this review was helpful >>More Details |
