I bought this as a small 'top up' gift for my son's 6th birthday - he loves it, even though the end product is a little bit of plastic in the shape of a dinosuar that's only and inch or so long...
His two-year old sister really went wild for it too, and has kept it under her pillow all week. So although it's nothing special as far as us adults are concerned, it has something about it that kids really go for. It'd make a good stocking filler for Christmas. >>More Details |

My boys really enjoyed watching this erupt. Easy to set up, can be used again and again if you buy new ingredients. But it's probably cheaper to do it the old fashioned way with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in an old yoghurt pot!

As I type this my 7 year old son is sat quietly at the table trying to dig his dinosaur out, he's been at it for a few days now and absolutley loves it. (So does the rest of the family) Yes, it does get a quite a bit messy so we've put it on a really large tray which does contain most of the dust. He's already asked if we can get another one, when he's finished this one. Great Buy!

A lot of fun for young and old. You can make a bracelet, wall hanger and there are stencils which can be used for more than one project. The box does list all the things which are included in the kit including paints, thread and beads but there are still a lot of things which you need but which are not included in the kit. Just check out what you need prior to giving it to a child. You don't want to be in a position where your little one wants to start making an item and you don't have in the house what will be necessary to complete the project. The plaster of paris is easy to use but it is tricky to get the plaster out of the mould and may require adult help. The instruction booklet is informative, educational and fun.
