My 5-year old son was given a bag of these at a party and now all the boys in his class have harmless fights with them. I really couldn't see the attraction in this craze, but then I'm not 5.
At that age, children will collect anything, so the manufacturer makes a fortune at £1 per bag for a few plastic figures sold to millions of children, backed up by some marketing and then retires to the Bahamas ...
You could beat the manufacturers at their own game and start your own craze free. Try collecting shells, shiny stones, pictures from magazines, (even stamp collecting was free in the days when people wrote letters, just tear them off envelopes)

I love Harry Potter so therefore loved this game! If you've played any other version of scene it then the concept will be pretty familar if not then i'll give you a keep run through of what to expect:
You have to roll 2 die...a numbered one and one with symbols which refers to the challenge you have to complete. This version of Cluedo will be a desirable game for Harry Potter fans and the general premise and style of Cluedo remain. However there are two distinct differences; the addition of a third dice allows for the board to shift- locking doors and opening and closing new secret passages AND (crucially) the collection of "dark" cards that can cost points and only be countered by the collection of help cards. It is here that the game is deeply flawed because the accumulation of too many dark cards leads to a premature removal from the game, not a good idea for a game aimed at 9-14 year olds. Did Parkers not test run this game?

My eight year old son, a huge Harry Potter fan, approached the Harry Potter 20Q with a mixture of intrigue and anticipation. Several goes later, with the "A.I. Wizard" 20Q having singularly failed to make even *one* accurate guess, my son asked if I could maybe take it back to the shop and change it for a book...
My nephew loved it. It looks just like the character from the film.
The only problem is if you are giving it to small children because there are many small parts.
