It was about nine years ago now that i was given this toy for Christmasone year and i can remember just how much i enjoyed playing with it. Now,they have brought it out again but this time with a few extra features.Generally though everything is the same, apart from there are a few extrasound effects. Here are all the great things about it. Firstly theres the swimming pool which slides across to reveal anunderground base and is also where the TB1 takes off. Then theres therunway for TB2 which can be raised in order for it to fly off. as thishappens the palm trees atomatically lean back slightly to allow room.Finally theres the take off pad for TB3 which is basically a hole in theground which the TB3 comes out of. My sons, three(!) and five are completly mad about the thunderbirds. Most of the videos they have played a dozen times and they play even during the video with the toys to copy the moves in the film. It is not only the exitement and the items which can be happen in 2003 but also educational are the thunderbirds great. Always helping people in need. Very good. >>More Details |

I wish this size of toy had been available last year, though our sons are avid Thunderbird fans, they didnt go a bundle on the small size toy but just love this one, it has lots of places for the little figures to go, though we did find a bit of blue tac on the bottom of the figures helped them stay inplace during blast off!! Great!!!

Don't be deceived by the size of the box - this version of Tracy Island is TINY! It was purchased by Grand-parents for our 4-year-old and we were all shocked by the tiny plastic form inside the enormous box, although perhaps we should have guessed it was small by the size of the Thunderbirds craft which are clearly on display through the cellophane window on front. Nevertheless, this toy has given our Thunderbirds-mad son hours and hours of pleasure, and as they say, "size isn't everything"!! >>More Details |

Both of my sons love the Thunderbirds, and Talking Virgil is a hero in our home. Our four year old unwrapped all of Christmas presents last year in a desperate hurry to find Virgil! He was of course an extremely satisfied child as he can play for hours having adventures with his hero. Educationaly its all imaginative play, and if you can dress up as a pilot yourself then two of you can have an adventure together, rescuing all and sundry around the home from the most terrifying accidents. Perhaps because he has had so many adventures, he had an accident himself and his head fell off. He was glued back together, but has now got to be more carefull when abseiling down the kitchen walls!
